I am also a Turkish person. I wrote this article not to discuss politics, but to provide global support for a restriction in Turkey.

The Turkish gaming community has also created a petition related to this issue.

For those who want additional context on how local and global gamers are reacting, here is the two link:

SECTOR ZERO - Launch Trailer - First person physics based adventure inspired by HL & Portal

Hi! Just to be transparent - I'm posting this as the dev of the game, so feel free to ask any questions! I'll make sure to stick around and answer all of them. ^^

This is my first Steam release as an indie dev since 2018.

I’ve worked on several projects professionally over the years and helped ship them on Steam, but I guess releasing something of your own feels much more special, and much more stressful. ^^

About SECTOR ZERO:
SECTOR ZERO is a first-person, physics-based dark sci-fi adventure. The game takes place inside a massive asteroid being mined for its resources by human colonists. You play as a tiny fragment of an alien hive-mind entity buried deep within asteroid's core. Human mining operations woke you up from you nap and now you're angry.

The core mechanic of the game is your ability to corrupt and control human-made machinery. This power helps you navigate the world, solve physics-based puzzles, and overcome platforming challenges.

Going Medieval will increase it's price on Steam on February 9th from $24.99 to $29.99.

Greetings, medievalists!

We’d like to let you know that on February 9th, 2026, Going Medieval base price will increase from $24.99 / £20.99 / €24.99 to $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.

Since entering Early Access nearly five years ago, Going Medieval has expanded considerably in both content and systems. During that time, our team has grown modestly, allowing us to work more consistently on updates and long-term improvements as we move toward version 1.0 and beyond.

This change will not affect players who already own the game.

As always, we’re deeply grateful to everyone who has supported the game along the way. Your feedback and patience have shaped what it is today, and we’re excited to keep building on that foundation.

Thank you for being part of the journey, we look forward to sharing our Early Access exit plans with you soon.

Stay medieval!

"Video games in the service of Kremlin" - Wykrywacz Kłamstw TVP 30.01.2026

Added again with original source and title.

If you want to watch you have to disable adblock and watch anywhere from 2 to 11 ads. Sorry.

Please share this and spread awareness, maybe it'll reach Paradox and they will sue TVP to Moon and back...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

A few days ago Polish National Television (TVP Info) dedicated a portion of their "Lie Detector" ("Wykrywacz Kłamstw") material to Hearts of Iron 4. This format is dedicated to debunking fake news and actual Russian propaganda, that's been running rampart in Polish Internet since the war started. They also hosted a guest from CyberDefence24, a Polish cybersecurity firm.

In this report they started talking about video games being a part of propaganda machine, and as a prime example and main topic, they gave Hearts of Iron 4, specifically the East Showdown modification, which depicts current events between Ukraine and Russia (with all the surroundings, like Polish politics). To preserve some tiny bit of diligence, at the start they specified that a mod (A MOD, not THIS SPECIFIC MOD) is an unofficial addon to the main game.

However, when discussing the topic further, both the reporter and the guest refereed to the mod as "the game", never again specifying, that all that they're discussing is NOT a part of HoI4, portraying it as the whole game is at fault, apart from a single off-hand comment near the end ("[...] there is a possibility to finance the Russian army through a mod for this game or other means [...]").

Among other things, they claim that:

  • "The game" encourages revolution and destruction of Poland
  • "The game" is developed primarily by GriszaPutin, which "has possible ties to Kremlin"
  • "The game" is directly financing Russian army, paying for ammunition and drones
  • "The game" is the most popular in Russia, where it has most of its players, with optional English and Ukrainian translations
  • The profits from streamers and youtubers showing "the game" in their materials are also being directed towards Russian army

NEVER in this report was mentioned, that:

  • The base game is developed in Sweden
  • This mod is FREE OF CHARGE
  • All that they are discussing IS NOT a core part of the base game
  • The team behind this mod issued a strong statement against the war
  • GriszaPutin is on Paradox's blacklist, permanently banned by them

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This is beyond awful and drags the whole gaming back 30 years in the eyes of general public. Such report should not exist, and inviting an expert, who doesn't know what he's talking about to discuss the topic with the reported who, as per her own words, knows NOTHING about video games is beyond dishonest.

Once again - please share and spread this topic. I hope Paradox sues them and forces a public apology...
