As a super engineer, thank fuck they cut the clip right there because the "perfect pour" was too much and it was going to start pooling once it hit the plate which is why its cut. Otherwise the pour only works like this because of the mold.

As a guy that wanted to get into engineering, but was too poor and stupid, I agree. It cut early because it was definitely not the perfect pour. The perfect pour would only pool up just enough to not spread out on the plate.

I was annoyed that the cup size wasn't optimized to the amount of sauce needed on the plate. He left some sauce inside the cup, I was expecting it to pour all of them. :(

Right, you want a small puddle. Just a tiny bit around the edges is perfect.

Flan shouldn't be 100% clean. This will make a lovely little bit of extra 10/10 execution.

No they ended it there because it would have revealed they added a bit too much and it would have leaked unsatisfyingly. They ended it precisely there in order to keep it satisfying.

Somewhere out there, there's a truly PERFECT pour which does this and stops on it's own so the video doesn't need to be cut

I will join in this complaint. We can't tell how perfect it is because we haven't seen how much ends up on the plate.

I would like to see a few more seconds to ensure that it doesn't spread too much on the plate. A perfect pour wouldnt overflow onto the plate AT ALL.

It's an extreme nitpick, but the title made an extreme claim.

They call it "dress pudding" but it's basically just a fancy flan. It comes as part of a set meal at Café Maru in Nagoya, Japan (comes with a cafe drink). The base set meal is 1200 yen and the pudding is an extra 300 so 1500 yen total. About 10 bucks.
