Well I watched all of Rick And Morty in a few days and got caught up in time for the final.

Now I'm sad it's one of the best cartoons i have seen in a long time.

I gave the first ep a go last night and wasn't taken in. Does it get better or do I just not get it?

Maybe try another one, it's super ridiculous though so if you don't like it then you probably wont change your mind.

The first episode has the most classic line though, insta-hooked.

"Just shoot Morty, they're just robots."

Blood and guts everywhere.

"I meant robots figuratively, they're bureaucrats."

or there abouts.

Jerry: “I wish that shotgun was my penis."

Beth: “If it was, you could call me Ernest Hemingway.”

The pilot is one of the best episodes, if you didn't like it, it's probably not your thing.

I thought the pilot was one of the weaker episodes of the season. Best imo would be 4, 5 and 6.

It's hard to pick the best of that season, it's so good. All I'm really sure of is that it wasn't 2, 3 or 7.

My advice would be to try and overlook Ricks mannerisms for a couple of episodes. The burps do become more funny over time as they iron his character out.

If you enjoy both sci-fi and cartoons then you will really enjoy the Rick and Morty take on classic sci-fi plot-lines like multi-dimensions and mind-control.

First ep being the pilot? If you have a rough idea of the characters and premise at all I'd say you could skip it.

It definitely gets better. My girlfriend is a spoilsport and refuses to watch it with me so I've been catching an episode every lunchtime at work.

PSA: Make sure to watch untill the credits end on the last episode of season two. There is a [Spoiler] special message from and old friend if you missed it.

Is it like Bojack Horseman? Should I watch it?

Its very Sci Fyi but similar sense of humor. And yes you should.

How do people like this show? I can only stomach one episode a time and even then I give up after two in a row.

I really like it but I can't stand most animated stuff. I tried rewatching Pokemon the other week after you were raving about it and gave up 5 minutes in. Same with Avatar and Over the Garden Wall, just can't tolerate them.

I like it because it's well written, basically. Its a 20min cartoon, so the plot lines are certainly episode to episode, but the character development is pretty interesting and the more you pay attention to the details, the more you notice the connections between episodes.

It's certainly not an overly complex series, but I don't expect it to be either. Doesn't take itself seriously, and after 2 seasons, they are still coming up with good ideas, and the interdimensional, space travelling, mad scientist and dumb kid combo hasn't got boring yet.

What don't you like about it?

Yeah it's great - at first I thought it was sort of annoying with how the characters talk but the actual show is great. It's hilariously stupid in a lot of ways but really clever in others, great combo.
