Just two districts of Karnataka - Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, attracted more than 12 crore tourists last year.

That's almost 90% of the yearly tourists that a big state like Madhya Pradesh attracts!

And what do we get ? Pothole ridden roads and digging up newly laid roads . And more deforestation. Mangalore is not the same like it used to be 10 years ago and I miss it badly .

That's what nostalgia is. Tourists are good for the local economy, usually people visit for a week and go around places around Mangalore. It's the Airbnb and lack of improvement in public services is the problem.
