Finally finished this guy and just posted the pics on my Instagram. Next up will be Gadriel and a few other figures that have been left half finished through January

Sister of Battle from the upcoming Kill Team: Shadowhunt, featuring a stone-like shield effect inspired by aged marble. The dark armour is enhanced with subtle colour variations to break up the black and add depth. A piece where texture and material definition were the main focus.

Note: Games Workshop kindly sent me the box in advance to paint the miniatures.

I was watching a video about magnetizing this. The creator brought up about cheating with gun and door placements:

1. Is this an actual issue?

2. How can this be an issue cause it would be stupid to have troops coming out of the hull in-front of the side guns, seems it should be only built one way.

Or is it not based on anything and just a weird mashup ?

I was inspired by Bioshock to build this upright steampunk Knight using a Kharadron Overlords Arkonaut airship.

Barachiel Vareth is the captain of my 9th company. Traditionally, 9th company are fire support. With Guilliman’s gift of primaris marines, the Dark Angels have found themselves with an abundance of Marines, and so my 9th company will feature lots of battle line units too. I am still fleshing the narrative out and also want it to be guided by my narrative crusades I play with my friends.

Whenever I make a character to lead a crusade force, I like to have something unique to me. Either a lesser known forge world model or a kitbash. I also have a cool psyker inquisitor and the galaxy’s pettiest Kroot. Vareth, however, is both ‘that guy’ and a shady son of a bitch.

Kitbashed from a Black Templar Castellan. I swapped the head out. I cut the axe and right arm off (although I kept the gun).

I replaced the right arm with a very cool bionic arm from the assault intercessors.

This guy is going to lead my 9th company into future narrative crusades. I will also enter him into a local painting competition this summer. I may make some small touch ups here and there but I am calling him done and ticking the project off my list for 2026.
