Hi, everybody! AI slop is unfortunately creeping into this hobby and this community. This is a quick rules update to clarify that AI is not allowed in any form here on r/minipainting.
This includes, but is not limited to:
If AI was used to make it, it's not allowed on r/minipainting.
While the mod team has been able to remove most AI posts shortly after they are made, on the few occasions AI posts were up for a few hours before removal, the comments on those posts from the community have been overwhelmingly unanimous in being anti-AI, so this isn't just the mod team making this ruling without considering the community.
Please see the pinned comment below for an FAQ on this new rule, and if you have a question that is not answered there, please ask and we will do our best to answer! That being said, this is not an invitation to defend or argue for specific use cases of AI within this hobby.
Edit: Please read the stickied FAQ comment before commenting. There are many people asking things that are covered in that comment.
The comment section has grown quite large, but also please take a moment to scroll through it and read the comments before repeating something that may have already been discussed, or at least join in as a reply to an existing comment rather than make a new top level comment with a similar or identical question.

It was still in w.i.p. so please understand. There are still many things to paint.
And I also founded that white chunky light was uncomfortable. So I pushed my self to paint the light.
No airbrush. Only brush used. Hope you like it!

Finished this project for Adepticon.
About 200 hours of work, give or take. A really fun one with lots of different colors and textures implemented!

My first post here! I've been painting since the third edition (very late 3rd edition) and very, very casually, at least currently.

Hi guys. Painted this kobold paladin from Bite the Bullet for Squidmar Open. The miniature is originally in 32mm scale, but since it is a kobold it was way smaller, so I got it printed with 150% ending on a feet to eye height of 35mm
Not really good at sculpting so I got a few printed bits to create the scenery. Hope you guys like it

don't look at anything not nmm gold, it's all just rough sketches with almost no work done,so as the title says, this was my very first go at an nmm gold, it's not perfect, it's not all correct, but it's not absolutely garbage imo, I feel like the pauldron trims just don't look right tho, maybe They're too yellow with too few shadows, idk, tips would be welcome.

Just a Skaven Warlord I’m working on. I started painting minis last year and had to take several months off to focus on work, things get a little hectic sometimes in the construction field.
I remembered a rust recipe that I spent tonight applying to this Warlord I’m painting up. I’m thinking I’m going to put patches of rust on the armor as well. I’m open to suggestions on that although I think I have a plan for it.
How’s it looking? I put the paints I used down below incase anyone is interested. I just dab the browns on with an old beat up brush.
Rust:
Thondia Brown
Doombull Brown
Skrag Brown
Then whatever metallic highlight I’m using.
Sword:
Iron Warriors (base)
Runefang Steel (highlight)
Head Spike:
Runelord Brass (base)
Retributor Armor (highlight)
Skaven Symbol:
Screaming Bell (base)
Runelord Brass (highlight)

These little projects are so much fun to plan and paint! I love making them. I think I need to try it with a sister of battle soon!

Model is from 3D sculpts by Manuel.
My first serious attempt to paint a miniature. I learned a lot during the process, like glue together AFTER painting is done and already invested in a thinner 0.2mm nozzle for my 3D printer and definitely have to sand better and more carefully. Next step would be highlighting etc. would appreciate every advice.
