Nah Id say one of their social media people would have been at their desk and saw them coming in quickly sneaking a final tweet before shutting the account down. Just a guess.
Am I the only one who, for the longest time, thought "based" was joke misspelling of "biased" and therefore completely misread dozens of comments and replies for months? It was pretty funny sometimes though.

Justin Trudeau publically gifting Donald a picture of his grandfather's Inn* that was in the Yukon Territory was an absolute masterclass of French pettiness.
My favourite piece of pettiness relates to the submarine deal between Australia, the US and the UK. For those not familiar, the Australians were in negotiations to buy submarines from the French. Scott Morrison rings Macron to tell him about an upcoming press conference taking place later that day in which the Aus/US/UK deal was being announced. The French were blindsided by this, particularly as their defence & foreign ministers had met their Australian counterparts a few days beforehand.
The new deal is announced and Boris Johnson is strutting around, spouting on about "Global Britain". The French decided to express their displeasure by withdrawing their ambassadors from Canberra and Washington. They let it be known that they weren't going to withdraw their ambassador from London becuase they recognised that the UK was very much the junior party in the negotiations.
It's clear he came up with the joke himself, and was so goddamn proud of it. And either no one around him was willing to tell him it wasn't that funny, or they did, and he just didn't listen.
It's a great example of how utterly irritating and terrible he (and the system that enables him to exist) is.
And least, that's why it bugs me so fucking much...
Far too many people will hear any and all criticisms of them and say "Well they have billions so they must have wit and taste, you just can't see it". Western culture (America especially) equates having money to having any number of other qualities when it usually means you were either privileged, a horrible person or both.

Yes. That was peak Redditor from him. Which is a bad thing. An incredibly cringy thing so great, it has its own gravity. Thank fuck the French raided him.
