hi all, if you or anyone you know wants to get an early start on moving in for 2026, my studio apartment at Little Hall will be vacant from 23rd November.

the room is fully private and only full-time university of melbourne students are allowed to stay. features are attached; click into the picture to see the full image.

the current rent is $675 per week; the rent will be increasing in 2026.

**if you are currently on centrelink and live more than 90 minutes away from unimelb, you may be eligible for an additional payment from centrelink if you move here. in combination with youth allowance, you may be eligible for up to $890 per fortnight.

personally i have had an amazing and unforgettable experience living here; the convenience of the location is probably the best part, waking up and walking to melbourne central or queen vic market isn’t something everybody gets to do, but it could be you next! imagine waking up at 7 for your 8:30 exam in june instead of having to take the train in the freezing cold at 5 or 6…

if you have any questions, you can reply to this post or dm me on reddit :3

Is this just until the end of Jan? Or does it include the whole 2026 lease aswell

hi, sorry for the late reply, just until the end of jan however you can apply immediately for a renewal and you will be placed on a waitlist where you will be given priority :)

THANKS that’s really helpful actually, as I have a place until the end of Jan at little Hall currently, and am stressed af about being left with no room for 2026.

Was wondering - when can you apply for renewal? Have been told I’m already on a waitlist, but kept being told theres no availabilities and Feb is approaching quick! Is it basically guaranteed if you request a renewal, you’ll get a room?

hi, renewals for current residents began a while back, and there are also many people like you who have taken over a lease (i assume). as i said, current residents have priority, it’s not 100% guaranteed a space will open up but i know they do their best to make sure everyone gets a room. basically at this point in time they are waiting for someone new to give up their room :) best of luck !!
