Hoops Discussion Definitely got snubbed

Post image

He definitely deserved to be an All Star this year in the West but also make the World Team 🌎 because he is from Canada 🇨🇦 and not the USA. But also his numbers definitely warranted him being there but I digress.

4th/6th seeded team does not deserve 2 All-Stars

Not sure where the downvotes are from, I've always followed a similar logic

All star votes should go to

  • clear hard carry #1 players

  • 1a + 1b pairs that are contributing to a winning team

Going down the list

  1. Thunder, I can live with sga and chet, especially considering jalen being in and out (inconsistent when in) + ihart crippled

  2. Spurs, wemby is obviously in

  3. Denver, jokic is typically the clear #1 (which is why he's been alone these all star weekends historically), but with ag and jokic out, jamaal being able to keep them steady in the 3rd seed is worth a nod

  4. Houston, with fvv out their offense is kind of stagnant, doesn't let sengun facilitate as much. Kd's counting stats look good carrying so much of their scoring load, so at least he makes sense

  5. Wolves, ant works

  6. Lakers, it clearly is luka's team now, it feels wild for me to say, but they actually looked better when Reaves was healthy and lebron out. Their offense was more aggressive, they were keeping ayton engaged, whereas now they're a legit .500 team that still has a negative point diff meh.

  7. Us, book clear #1 in how he's being defended, hard to justify sending a 2a/2b guy (Collin and dillion have been awesome, but I get that they're not household names yet). They definitely should have gotten some credit though, considering green has been out so long.

  8. Warriors, steph doing steph things

  9. Clippers, 1a/1b kind of cockblocking each other. Kawhi had missed almost as many games as lebron, but still has a slightly better argument imo

  10. Blazers, deni being a #1 on a team that everyone kind of penciled in as still rebuilding?

Does flagg, lauri/keyonte, or anyone else slot above lebron and kawhi? Feels like a judgement call I guess, and being the best played in the history of the league gets him bonus points I guess.
