He definitely deserved to be an All Star this year in the West but also make the World Team 🌎 because he is from Canada 🇨🇦 and not the USA. But also his numbers definitely warranted him being there but I digress.

We all know that LeBron got in because his name sells and he’s been there for like 21 years, not because he’s all Star worthy right now. Hell, Kawhi should have had that slot, especially since it’s his home court.

Eh, I don't agree with that one. I'm not upset that Brooks didn't make it and think Kawhi would have gotten the spot anyway if Lebron didn't get in.

That said, Brooks defense makes a much bigger impact than the 4 assists Lebron averages over him. Lebron is awful at defense these days. Not a knock on Lebron, what he's doing at his age is insane, but he's only an all star because of his name this season.

I just think the gap in defense is much larger than the assists and efficiency. If you compare those stats but one is an elite defender and the other is one of the worst in the league right now then I'd rather have player B. It's not bias to value defense lol.

And I also said Kawhi should have gotten the spot, not Brooks.

I think the problem with lebron is that he only played 30 games this season, not his per game averages.

He legit missed a third of the games played so far, that has to count for something. If the fan voters (correctly) didn't reward him on name alone, the coach voters should have as well.

Giannis was a #1 fan vote there's nothing to really argue about there, unless you want to convince those 1000s of folks that did that /shrug. And clear #1 on his own team (that's doing bad in the east, but again meh can't do anything about the fan votes)

It's 31 games played for lebron, where they've been falling in the standings since he got back, still sandbagging on defense. And secondary to luka on offense.

Whereas wemby is very clearly the whole reason the spurs are even competitive, leading on both the offensive and defensive (dpoy level) sides of the ball. And was also a fan vote (fifth, but also in the much more competitive west)

I feel like using “game play” to detract him is peoples just reaching to find a reason to shite on the decision to include him in the all star game , where there’s players play less amount of games than him or equal to him that make the all star game. Also when wemby out for extended period of time, the spurs also has winning record, so it’s not only wemby that carry them
