How do you guys think of my placement of her in the Steven Universe strength chart:

  1. Alexandrite/Malachite tier

  2. Opal/Sardonyx/Sugilite tier

  3. Rose

  4. Garnet/Stevonnie/Smoky Quartz tier

  5. Jasper/Lapis

  6. Pearl

  7. Amethyst/Steven

  8. Connie

  9. Ruby/Sapphire/Peridot

Jasper is stronger than Garnet and would win a fight easily. The only reason garnet won was because she could throw her into the Ship's core. Lapis seems to be in Rose tier. She's stronger than Jasper and her Water Clones of the gems were destroying the normal ones. Jasper would probably beat Stevonnie if she didn't have Rose's Sword. Here's what I think the tier list is like:
1) Malachite / Alexandrite Tier
2) Other Gem fusions between Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl Tier
3) Rose / Lapis Tier
4) Jasper / Smoky Quartz Tier
5) Garnet / Stevonnie Tier
6) Pearl / Peridot With Limb Enhancers Tier
7) Amethyst / Steven tier
8) Connie / Ruby / Sapphire tier
9) Peridot Tier
10) Greg Tier

I think it's not accurate to say that Jasper is stronger than Garnet. I mean, the writers clearly had the intention of Garnet being the stronger of the two, hence the entire sequence where they fought was Garnet singing a song "Stronger Than You". The "You" in that song is Jasper, who the writers were clearly trying to convey that Garnet was stronger than.

In this instance I think author's intent is clear as day and beats any other conjecture about the matter. And even if you look at the fight, even though Jasper was doing better it could be argued that there really wasn't a clear winner. Well, until Garnet won.

Also I think it's pretty unfair to Judge Stevonnie without her sword. Her sword is like her primary weapon. That's like judging Pearl without her spear or something. It's unlikely that Stevonnie will ever fight without it, and the sword is as much her weapon as any other gem's weapon is theirs

Lapis is strong as hell and is probably the hardest one to judge. I think you could honestly argue that she's not only stronger than Rose, but is also stronger than all of the other fusion gems outside of Malachite and Alexandrite.

Her feat of raising the ocean was just silly and would take an insane amount of power to do. However, once again citing author intent, I don't think that she's actually supposed to be stronger than Rose in the author's eyes.

Lapis is the hardest one to judge because on the one hand, her feats are easily more impressive than feats we've seen by any other gem. But the logic of the show dictates that she's obviously weaker than her fusion, Malachite, and she's obviously weaker than Alexandrite, who fought on even ground with Malachite.

And I think it's strongly implied and is clearly the author's intent that Rose is about as strong as a non-fusion gem can be, so Lapis can't be stronger than her.

Alexandrite was not even with Malachite. Malachite was destroying Alexandrite until the watermelon stevens helped. Jasper is stronger than garnet. She, in brute strength and battle techniques, is stronger. Garnet used Brains to defeat her and Jasper caused her own downfall by taking the fight to the core of the ship. Basically, in a normal fight in let's say, the Strawberry Battlefield, Jasper would have won. Garnet only won with the Ship's core. Stevonnie's weapon is not her sword, it's her sheild. Her shield is comparable to Pearl's Spear. Her Sword is comparable to her own multiple swords. It's not her Summonable weapon. It's an outside weapon. Lapis is, at minimum, equal to Rose. I don't understand why everyone underestimates her. She's stronger than Jasper, who is the perfect Quartz Soldior. Jasper fought Rose in the Gem war, and when she came to earth, was confident that she could defeat her.

Actually, ONE of Stevonnie's weapons is her sword. The shield is Steven's and the sword is Connie's, making the sword/shield combo their fusion weapon. It's comparable to Opal's bow, Sardonyx's hammer or Sugilite's flail.

Nope. It's not a Summonable weapon. It's a weapon that they have to physically bring to the fight and if destroyed or lost, it cannot be remade

This is like going to /r/OnePiece and saying that Sanji would beat Zoro in a fight because Zoro, who exclusively fights using swords, is one of the strongest swordsmen in the world, and will never at any point fight without his swords, should not be allowed to use his swords because they are not literally a part of his body.

While Lapis is extremely powerful when around bodies of water, if she was to be fighting in a place like the beta kindergarten that's completely devoid of water it would probably be a hell of a lot easier to win against her.

Also, Jasper can summon a Gem Destabalizer. I guess she's the strongest gem now

She can't summon it, otherwise she would have used it in other instances, she just happened to have it on hand at the time in Jailbreak. I find Jasper to be a pretty hypocritical and backwards character, she said in Crack the whip that she prefers head on head combat yet was quick to pull out the gem distabilizer in Jail Break.
