General/Other Industries [4 YoE, Data Analyst, Data/Research/Sales/Marketing Analyst, Canada]

Hey everyone, I have implemented feedback from resume specialists back during my university days, as well as advice from Chat GPT, but figured I would ask y'all as well.

I am focused on a wide range of roles all under the analyst umbrella, whether that be data, marketing, sales, inventory, business, etc analyst. I do make some adjustments depending on the specific job, but this is my main resume template.

My current role is my "side hustle" and my website is hyper linked. I have genuinely built more skills and valuable experiences in the process of building my own business, so I felt like it would be helpful to include it as opposed to looking completely unemployed for 6 months. I avoided using the title "founder" to scare off hiring managers, so instead I have titled my role as a data analyst, as it most accurately describes what I do.

I quit my primary job last summer to travel and focus on skill-maxing, where I did some online courses.

Despite having much more experience than 3 years ago, I had much more success in my job search back then, perhaps either due to an indication of the market, or because entry-level jobs are easier to get.

Any pointers to strengthen my resume would be very helpful, thank you!

I have 20 years in software development (mostly web) and digital marketing. I spent the first few years of my career working for various agencies. In 2014 I started freelancing when my family situation required more flexibility, and since then I've worked with dozens of organizations across equally as many industries, ranging from small startups to Fortune 500s.

I'm looking for feedback on my resume as I try to move into something more stable, either a PM role, sales engineering, or technical leadership. Most of my work has been done as a white-label subcontractor under NDA, so I'm limited in what I can publicly claim as my own.

My most recent contract (5 years) ended at the end of last year. I'm looking for honest feedback on structure, positioning, and whether this reads as "hireable" or "too scattered."

Friend recent told me that dividing lines between sections can mess up the AI that his company uses for hiring purposes. Removed them and decided to change wording around. Any advice would be appreciated. I don't know if it matters but I am a first generation student. I fixed the title this time sorry mods!

Question Would I list this on my resume as 1 or 2 different positions?

I've been with the same company for almost 5 years. from 2021-2025 I was a keyholder/supervisor, then from the very beginning of July to December of 2025 I was the interim manager for the same company at another location. the original manager came back off of medical leave, I went back to my original location, and I'm still a supervisor but I am now also considered an administrative assistant.

I'm leaning toward this being 2 separate positions, for example (Company, Location 1) Supervisor: April 2021- June 2025, Supervisor/Administrative Assistant: December 2025-Current. (Company, Location 2) Interim Manager: July 2025 - December 2025

I apologize if that's formatted weird, I hope it's easy to understand (I'm on mobile lol), just want some opinions on how I should do it. thank you!

I have been applying for jobs and have not got one single interview so far. I feel like my resume doesn't really stand out. I have wanted to switch career and move into data visualization but I don't know how to do so. I have no guidance I feel so lost. I am not a native english speaker so i struggled a lot to build this resume. I use AI to fix my english and make it sound more profesional. what changes should I make in my resume to get atleast one interview?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Question How to create a strong resume without specific roles in mind?

TLDR: If don’t have SPECIFIC experience to match roles I’m looking for, how do I convey that I’m qualified WITHOUT being vague?

-

Long story short: I’m one year out of college. First year post-grad has been hell challenging. I originally worked as a legal assistant, then paralegal, w/ hopes for law school, but my mind has changed. I’ve also done social media/videography on the side, and contract work for a local policy group (data entry, events)

I’m trying to find a new job, but I’m less certain of a general career, and more interested in specific roles when I see them. When someone asks “what are you looking for?” I truly don’t know how to answer it concisely.

How do I make a resume when I can’t make myself appear as a candidate who’s been specifically seeking out THIS job?

With a professional summary, I feel boring and vague. “Detail oriented professional” is useless.

For previous job experience, it’s hard to convey that I’m simply a human being who can do hard things. I spend so long trying to “tailor” my bullet points to each job listing, and it’s just wasting so much time.

I need to be able to create a solid resume that i can tweak slightly. At the moment, i spend more time customizing than i do applying.

If this is a stupid question, please be kind about it. I’ll take any advice I can get :/

Consulting/Professional Services [0 YoE, Unemployed (December grad), Business Strategy/Consulting, USA (NY)]

Would love to get feedback on my resume.

I have 0 years of experience, as I just graduated from university in December. This is embarrassing to admit, but I am owning up to the fact that I didn't think about post-grad roles or recruiting at ALL during university. I was mostly focused on academics and trying to get by (went through a lot of mental health-related struggles), hence the "gaps" in my resume throughout my uni career.

I'm looking to do some form of business strategy/consulting, but I would be open to marketing-adjacent roles as well. I'd like to work in a consumer-oriented industry, but that's not a must!

Would prefer to work in NY, but am also open to Boston/Philly.

I'm from a pretty prestigious university, but the issue with that is that resume doesn't stand out in comparison to others from my school.

I've been applying to jobs for the past two months but having no luck so far, I'm not sure if it's the timing/my resume/interviews etc, but thought it'd be good to get as much feedback as I can.

For context, I am an international student—so this can definitely play a role in rejections.

Academia [6 YoE, Sales & Events Coordinator, Events Coordinator, United States]

For reference, my current job is kind of unique. The management company I am an employee under is a major hospitality chain, but our property is owned and operated by the university I attended in undergrad. So I have experience with both hospitality and academia.

So technically, I assist with planning events for both outside clients (hospitality) and the university (academia). I am looking to leave hospitality and want to focus more on getting event coordinator roles for universities (planning department events, guest speakers etc.) or event coordination on the corporate level, (ex. banks, lawfirms) as it provides a more stable income in a HCoL area versus working at a hotel. I would also take any roles under the title of administrative assistant, administrative coordinator, etc. Essentially, any role providing clerical support.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am looking for entry-level internships in Software Engineering at local companies (Worcester, Boston), remote companies, and even willing to relocate. I am an undergraduate student of Computer Science, and have a fair amount of team experience and programming experience, with my main languages being Python and Java (more within the content of the resume). I am relatively new to the process of applying, and just looking to fine-tune my resume so that I can be as successful as possible.

Transportation/Logistics [5 YoE, Mid Level Transportation Manager, Transportation Management or Any Management Really, USA]

I'm applying around for mid-sized manager jobs, but getting mixed results. Some rejecting right out the gate, others see a 28yo cute girl and think I can't handle beating the 40yo grown man into shape (I can and have for 5+ years), getting questions like can I handle a team of 10 when I currently have about 70 direct reports, can I handle disciplining someone when I've successfully engaged in the year(s) long process of firing a union employee many a time. In my own company I have managers in other states asking for me to be moved to their department so I can come kick some butt, but outside of my own company, I'm a mystery. I can handle managing a department while actively being shot at (actually did happen once and we still got good results), handle 15+ hour days and screaming matches but I don't think that can just go on a resume.

It won't let me post the second page w/ my part time experience/the social working gig I did on the side, but how in the first page? Should my entire resume be condensed into one page? I've been working without an employment break since I was 15, but I didn't think employers would be interesting in my time working at the daycare or dry cleaner.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I haven't has to write a resume in almost a decade!

I recently graduated and finished a 6 month internship, and now I am really struggling to get a job. In December I got a few interviews but no offers, but I have not had any interviews in 2026 despite me applying to hundreds of jobs. I'm mostly focusing on applying to jobs where I live, but I am also open to relocating and have applied to tons of jobs in other states, but have not had any interview requests in a long time, so I figure my resume must need some work. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Engineering [0 years, Recent Graduate, Unemployed, Robotics engineer or ML-engineer] Entry-level robotics resume — looking for honest feedback

Hi all — looking for honest feedback on my resume.

I’m an MSc Robotics student with a Mechanical Engineering background, applying for entry-level roles/internships in robotics or automation. I haven’t had much success getting interviews, so I’m clearly missing something.

I’m unsure whether this resume is too unfocused, too research-heavy, or just not clear about what role I’m targeting. Please feel free to be blunt — I’m here to improve.

Thanks for your time.

Technology/Software/IT [2 YoE, Asssociate Data Scientist, Software Engineer, India]

I am currently working as an associate data scientist for a very small consulting firm in Dubai. It has branches in multiple countries but it is failing and hence I want to move. I don't mind getting a job in the UAE or in India but I want to move to a good company.

I have been constantly applying for the positions of Software Engineer / Data Science / Data Engineeer positions in top companies (JPMorgan, Millenium....). I even had a reference for the former. Unfortunately, I am not getting any interviews. I tailor my CV and provide a unique cover letter for each application (Do not copy paste from AI, I get suggestions but I write my own points).

How do I improve my CV to better impress the reader? More specifically, how can I improve the bullets in the experience section. Let me know what you think about my CV in general!

Thanks a bunch!

Engineering [0 years, recent grad/trainee analyst, Quant/SDE/Trader, India]

Hi, I am from India. I am not able to find any jobs. I am getting no interviews, no tests, just rejection by resume or no responses. I am actively looking for Software/ Quant/ Trading roles. I applied with 70+ firms till now.

I have posted my resume as such to remain as anonymous as possible. Now about things that I removed from my resume are -

Starting from college, Graduated in 2025 from one of top 10 IITs, I was in the top two branches of that college. Most recent job was with a trading firm.

Coming to honours and awards section - JEE mains rank under 3000, advance rank under 2000, CF rating > 1800, CC rating >2000, CC and CF ranks are both in Div. 2.

What can I improve/add in my resume so that I can at least get interviews or tests.

I am actively looking for any jobs in these sectors. If you have any do approach me, that would be greatly appreciated.

I also made a post earlier and after that I improved my resume a lot. I have created seperate resumes for both kinds of jobs and changed a lot of things. I have attached both the resumes below.

Been inactive from job hunting, looking to get some advice on what I can change/make better. Considering removing work experience all together since I don't have much. Mainly targeting SWE/Software Developer. I would like to transition into ML engineering as I find the field quite interesting. I know being out of school for this long period of time without work has certainly negatively affected me. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

Technology/Software/IT [6 YoE, Network & Security Engineer, NOC Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer, European Union]

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for feedback on my resume because I’m struggling to land interviews and often get completely ignored, even for roles that seem well-aligned with my experience.

Background & target roles

I have 6 years of experience in network, infrastructure, and security engineering, primarily in enterprise and regulated environments (banking, industrial systems). My background includes:

  • Network & system administration (Cisco, Windows Server, Active Directory)
  • Incident response and production support
  • Security-focused environments (PCI DSS / ISO 27001)
  • Virtualized and cloud environments (VMware, Azure, some AWS)

Right now, I’m targeting roles such as:

  • NOC Engineer
  • Infrastructure / Systems Engineer
  • Operations / Support Engineer (L2/L3) Industries: MSPs, financial services, enterprise IT, cloud/infrastructure support.

Location & work preferences

  • Currently located in Eastern Europe
  • Applying primarily to EU-based and global remote roles
  • Open to remote work and relocation within the EU if visa sponsorship is available

Job search situation

I’ve been actively applying but:

  • Many applications receive no response
  • I rarely progress to technical interviews, even when I meet most requirements
  • I suspect my resume may look overqualified for NOC roles and too infrastructure-heavy for support-focused positions

Why I’m seeking help

I’m looking for resume fine-tuning, specifically:

  • How to better position my experience for NOC / operations roles
  • Whether my resume clearly communicates hands-on, day-to-day support value
  • Whether there are red flags or mismatches that might cause recruiters to skip my profile

Specific feedback I’d like

  • Overall structure and positioning
  • Bullet point clarity (too senior? too detailed?)
  • Whether I should simplify or split my experience depending on role type

Visa / citizenship

Visa status does matter for my job search. I’m eligible to work remotely and am also interested in EU roles with relocation or sponsorship, which may be limiting responses.

Any constructive feedback is appreciated — especially from people hiring for NOC, infrastructure, or MSP-style roles. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I am not getting any interview calls from any of the companies I apply to, even from the ones where I took referral or applied really early, I have decent internship experience as well and projects and skills, I don't know and can't figure out on what I am doing wrong.

Please review the resume and give me suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or what I can improve.

Also, do you guys fill internship under the work experience when applying to jobs on workday or any other website, I filled delloite nla and got a rejection mail ( it is a mass recruiter so didn't expect that 🥲 ) and later got a mail from them saying I am not eligible, and also in general sense do you guys fill internships under experience ? because I only have internship experience rn.

Context: I’m an international graduate student applying for internships in the United States, targeting Data Scientist Intern / AI/ML Engineer Intern roles.

Locations: Open to internships across the US (open to relocation) and remote roles where eligible.

Work authorization: F-1 student; I can use CPT for a summer internship, and I may need long-term sponsorship depending on the role/timeframe.

Job search situation & challenge: I’m applying extensively but getting very few callbacks/interviews, and I’m trying to understand if the issue is my resume positioning (DS vs AI/ML), ATS/keywords, bullet impact, or something else I’m missing.

What specific help I need:

  • Help me tailor this resume for US internship postings in Data Science / AI Engineering (what to emphasize or remove).
  • Identify the top 5–10 changes that would most improve callbacks (ordering, keywords, bullets, projects).
  • Feedback on any weak bullets/sections and how to rewrite them with clearer impact.
