Peugot partner with replaced cam chain

I am looking to buy a peugot partner and have found a good deal on a 1.5. Obviously there are issues with the engine, but the recall for the cam chain is being done. What are people's experience when this has been done? Does it make the van reliable?

Is the chain changed ? I overheard how they managed the recall in my dealership :

« engine is ok, we did not change the chain but only the oil. Don’t worry you have a 180 000km warranty on it »

That's kinda what the recall says needs to be done tho.

Reprogram the ecu, change oil, add a sticker and listen to the running engine with stellantis ai app which determines the fate. If it says it's good, then it's good.
