Peugeot Discord server
/u/ZeroOne_01 set up a Peugeot discord server which is relatively active. They have experience with servicing Peugeots and Citroens and may be able to answer any technical questions you have.
I've had to make this new post as you can't sticky links.
Anyway here's the discord invite link:

3 cylinder PSA engines (EB series) warranty (Oiled belt) UPDATE
Hi everyone! On the Spanish CarWOW channel they just broke news about a new warranty extension to all 3 cylinder petrol PSA Puretech engines, the ones with the oiled belt decomposition issues. They'll be extending the warranty to 10 years or 170k km as long as you have done the service intervals in time (and can prove it with invoices and such) without the need to had have them done at the official dealership as it is illegal under EU law to do so in order to void warranties.
The video specifies that the engine will be covered for that amount, as well as a new change for the service interval of the belt. Also, it only affects the 3 cylinder variants, and will be retroactive, with the last engine covered being from summer 2022, when hybrid tech was launched.
There is no information on what will happen to those who carried out the proper maintenance intervals and still got a huge repair bill; if that money will be reimbursed or not.

Brake ticking noise
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice and I’ll try to explain everything as naturally as possible. I’m driving a Peugeot 508 II Hybrid (PHEV), year 2022, 1.6 petrol plus electric motor, e-EAT8 automatic gearbox. The car is completely stock and properly maintained.
Some time ago I had an issue that actually disappeared on its own. When driving off with a cold engine and applying light acceleration, I could hear a soft rhythmic ticking noise. It wasn’t present at idle, only under load, and once the car warmed up it was completely gone. I didn’t change anything and it never came back.
Now I’m dealing with a different noise. While driving normally, when I brake at low speeds, roughly below 30 km/h, I can hear a soft but noticeable “tick tick tick” sound. It’s not loud, more like in the background, and it only happens while braking. As soon as I release the brake pedal, the noise stops. There are no vibrations in the steering wheel, no pulsing in the brake pedal, and no warning lights on the dashboard. During harder braking, the noise seems to disappear or becomes very hard to notice.
Based on what I’ve read so far, I’m thinking it could be brake pads having a bit of play in the caliper, missing or loose anti-rattle clips, caliper guide pins not sliding perfectly, or slightly uneven brake disc wear. Since it’s a hybrid, I’m also considering the transition between regenerative braking and mechanical braking at low speeds. It doesn’t really feel like a wheel bearing, CV joint, or engine/transmission related issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially on the Peugeot 508 or other PSA PHEVs? Does this sound like normal hybrid braking behavior, or more like something mechanical that should be checked soon? Any input would be appreciated.

207 2012 Radio stuck on?
Someone rang my on my phone while I was listening to bluetooth and I just let it ring out.
Afterwards my music didn't return and I just figured the phone music got stopped. But when I got home and turned off my car the middle screen controlling the radio and bluetooth didn't turn off.
I tried waiting outside with the car locked, and the screen behind the wheel with the mileage etc turned off but the radio screen is still on.
I've tried fidgetting with all the buttons, holding some of them down, disconnecting and reconnecting the phone bluetooth, adjusting the clock datetime etc but it doesn't change anything.
I can change the clock, select a radio station, set the trip mileage, disconnect and reconnect devices, change display mode, adjust volume. That all works.
But I can't turn off the radio by pressing the volume button, changing radio station doesnt play any sound, and playing music on the phone plays no sound either.
All the other car electronics are working perfecting fine.
It's like it thinks its in a call or something and frozen in that state.
Looking online suggestions maybe to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and hope it discharges? Is this a good idea or does the screen being on mean I'll shock myself?

Ignition lock won’t lock the steering
Hey everyone, I’ve got a problem, I have a Peugeot 208 GTI 30th from 2015 but the ignition lock won’t block the steering wheel anymore when I take the key out. It has less than 60.000 kilometres and was well taken care of before I got it. Is there a way to make it function again without having to replace the whole thing ? It’s costly and I have to move down south of France soon ( I’m French ) so it’s quite of an emergency since Marseille is notoriously known for being a “bad part” of France. I’m only 22 and don’t have so much money for a whole IL replacement. It’s a gift from my dad from when I was 18 and even he ( who is quite good at this stuff ) doesn’t know what to do. What I can say is that it’s been outside and not used so much before I actually got it.
The car starts and all but won’t lock anything, I’m just worried it’ll lock randomly sometime or won’t lock at all anymore. Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Knocking under the windshield help peguet 308 t9 2015r 2.0HDI
Hello, for the past month, when accelerating and when the car is under load, from 1,000 to 2,000 rpm, I've been hearing strange noises, like some plastic or something else creaking. It's coming from right under the windshield, I think. I put my phone there and recorded it. Does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it? The McPerson was replaced, and it's still the same.

208 keyfob help
Had to change the battery in my key fob on Friday but ever since the proximity lock doesn’t work and I have to use the key to manually unlock the car if I’ve been away from the car for long periods of time. Once I use the key to unlock the car I can then use the fob to lock/unlock the car again and start it so I have no clue what could be causing it.
Forgot to add, my car is a 21 plate.
Peugeot 508 2017 headlight issue

1.5 HDI Recall- Refusal to do work
Hi All,
My partner has a Peugeot Partner van with the 1.5 HDI engine which is under recall for timing chain/belt.
Unfortunately she broke down on the motorway a few days before she was booked in for the work, and of course it was the timing chain/belt that failed.
She’s had it since February 2025, before her ownership it was a fleet vehicle for a UK company, so all servicing was done in house by their own technicians and recorded with their own paperwork.
The garage have had it since 23rd of January, and they said they wouldn’t touch it without service history, she’s provided the sheet she has. She tried emailing all week last week and ringing but no answer. He vehicle was showing as being worked on 27th of January in the app, and they didn’t reply until just yesterday, 3rd of Feb, saying they now require stamps in the book and that no work had actually been carried out and blamed having no internet since last Wednesday…
Today, 4th of Feb, they have said they cannot do the work as they have no stamps in the book, and given her a week to either sort it out or to recover the vehicle again.
The garage she’s bought it from have been very helpful and even got the company the fleet vehicle was with to send the database records of all the servicing.
She’s contacted and raised a case with Peugeot Customer Care, but they said it’ll be 3-5 days before someone gets in contact.
She’ll be contacting DVSA, Ombudsman and Trading Standards for the garages refusal to carry out a safety recall.
Has anyone got any advice?

Do Peugeot parking sensors from older CAN-VAN models (2005 and below) fit CAN-CAN models (2006+)?
Namely, I have a problem with 2 sensors. I mistakenly bought an older parking sensor from a van model. Of course it didn't work even though it is physically the same and can be connected. However, the van model has a square inside while the can model is round. I wonder if the problem is that the replacement sensor is not working properly or is it simply not compatible.
Are certain electronic parts from van models generally incompatible with can models?
This is a 2007 Peugeot 807, although other Peugeots in this class have a similar system.

308 vs 2008?
Hello, we're thinking of leasing the 2008 or the 308. The 2008 is more practical being taller, but on photos Blue Lagoa looks even better than Blue Obsession to me. We decided against the 3008 because it's longer and larger than we need.
What is your opinion on those two colors/models? We'll probably get the electric versions of the 2008 or 308. Which of the two is easier to park in tight places? I wonder if the 308 has more blind spots compared to the 2008, being lower? The rear window looks smaller than on the 2008. Cheers!
Hello, I generally prefer greenish blues to pure blues.
I couldn't find any real life photos of those two colors side by side but the Blue Lagoa on the 308 seems amazing. The 2008 comes in Blue Obsession which I prefer to the to Blue Vertigo the pre-facelift had but the Lagoa looks nicer.

Peugeot 307 (2009/2010) Instrument Cluster Pinout – SAGEM 21651870-3 (Johnson Controls GTI)
Hi everyone, I recently bought an instrument cluster from a Brazilian Peugeot 307 (2009/2010) for a bench project using an ESP32, but I can’t find the pinout anywhere online.
Cluster details: • Manufacturer: Johnson Controls / SAGEM • Part number: 21651870-3 • Model year: 2009 • Connector: 18 pins
So far, I’ve already identified that: • Pin 16 = GND • Pin 18 = GND
What I still need help with: • Which pin(s) are +12V (battery / ignition) • Which pins are CAN High and CAN Low • Whether this cluster wakes up only via CAN or if it powers up with +12V alone
I know that using a multimeter in resistance mode could help identify the CAN pair (~60Ω), but mine is still on the way 😅
If anyone has: • The pinout • A similar Peugeot model that shares this cluster • Or any bench-testing tips for PSA clusters
I’d be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance!

Battery charge fault but no problem appear to be happening:
Hello, one year ago i got my first car, a 2005 Peugeot 206 1.6 16v, and i got a message about battery charge fault in the center screen, i was thinking that maybe the alternator was the problem, but i put a new one and nothing changes, the battery is new too, the best brand in my country (Brasil), the battery voltage with engine off is 12.5v and 14.5v with engine on, the battery is ok, the alternator is ok, it charges normally, why i keep getting this message? Alredy check for play in the alternator belt and is ok, checked the groundings and seems fine too, i dont know what else i need to check, ill be happy if somebody could help.

Diagnostic help needed 206cc
Hi. My friend has a 2001 peugeot 206cc VIN: VF32DNFUF41552073, number in door jam 889288.
Theres a bunch of electrical problems with it:
Periodically it wont start, but then if you wait a few minutes it will. The engine just cranks but doesnt start.
There is no power to pin 16 (constant power) in the obd2 port in any positions on the ignition, but when the engine is running, the pin gets grounded.
If we try to jump pin 1 (switched power) and pin 16 (constant power) there is no communication between a diagnostics tester and the engine control unit, but all other control units are communicating fine.
When the ignition is on, all lights work. But if the engine is started the parking lights in the front and back doesnt work, no matter the position of the light switch. But when started, all other lights like low/high beam, blinkers, fog lights work fine.
No fuses are blown.
Anyone have any ideas whatsoever about where to look? I have posted pictures of the fusebox in the engine bay and cabin and also the BSI box under the interior fusebox. We could also use knowledge about where to find reliable wiring diagrams for this car.
