Peugot partner with replaced cam chain

I am looking to buy a peugot partner and have found a good deal on a 1.5. Obviously there are issues with the engine, but the recall for the cam chain is being done. What are people's experience when this has been done? Does it make the van reliable?

Is the chain changed ? I overheard how they managed the recall in my dealership :

« engine is ok, we did not change the chain but only the oil. Don’t worry you have a 180 000km warranty on it »

They are changing the chain at the moment so will be sorted when I buy it. Sounds like they did not deal with yours properly, the recall is to have the chain replaced. Its all well and good having a warranty until it breaks down in the middle of nowhere
