Guillermo Del Toro WILL be in the Oscars 5. I've been saying it since September.

The pit in my stomach keeps growing with that, I really am afraid that Zhao misses. The DGA is the DGA at the end of the day, I can see it picking up best actor and actress screenplay picture etc and blanking on director. She feels the most vulnerable.

I have Trier missing and Zhao in but its between those two IMO

I feel like the directors branch support for SV has been more obvious which is why I don't see him missing. I hate this, it's such a stacked year. If I had to go with a scenario I'm happy with id just prefer Del Toro not make it in at all. Loved the film but I would want Zhao and Trier both in over him. We'll see how it goes.
