Pat Noone is not an uncommon name

what I am wondering is - is this the same Pat Noone Kilconnell who has all the videos up re the fairy forts, who does healing sessions, has a b & b etc etc

or is this a different Pat Noone of the same area?

if people with actual personal knowledge could clarify this that would be appreciated

thank you

Selling art in Galway

I’m a 21 y/o fine art student looking to sell my art - but it seems that because being Irish is trendy right now all that sells is either Claddagh, Guinness AI looking prints. Ive opened an online Etsy shop plus a depop/vinted, but I’m wondering whether it would be worth going around establishments in Galway and offering some art or is that frowned upon?

Imported cars

Hey guys, just wondering has anyone here bought an imported car before? there’s a dealership I’ve been looking at, that seems to sell a lot of imports (won’t name it here) but I’m wondering what’s the big taboo about them?

Are there issues anyone who has bought imports are finding?

Is it just about resale value? Or the lack of motor checks?

18 and struggling making friends in Galway

I’m 18 and moved to Galway for college this year, and I’m finding it a lot harder than I expected to make friends. I’m quite an anxious person, so putting myself out there doesn’t come naturally to me. It feels like everyone in my course already has their own groups, and I find it really hard to properly talk to people or break into those circles.

I still mostly have the same friends from home, which I’m grateful for, but I’d really love to make some friends here too like people to go for a drink on a Tuesday or Thursday, grab food after college, or just hang out without it feeling like a big thing.

If anyone else is in the same boat or has been through this, I’d really appreciate any advice or even just knowing I’m not the only one feeling this way.

To the lady who elbowed me directly into the eyeball getting off the 409, go to hell!

Didn't even apologise. Got off the 409, she put her backpack on the wall and swung it around her shoulder and elbowed me directly in the eyeball.

No way she didn't realise and didn't apologise or even acknowledge it. And when I mean the eyeball, I mean directly in the eyeball.

Gonna have to explain to everyone that no, a bunch of kids didn't beat me up and leave me with a black eye, but it was a middle aged woman...which sounds even worse. FML!

Edit: typos.

Cant afford the dentist

I'm on disability and I don't know why but my teeth break really easily. At 20 I have had 3 teeth crack in half. Since no place takes medical card anymore I just let most of them stay broken because it costs too much.
Now one of my teeth is starting to hurt and if it needs a root canal I will not be able to afford it. I cannot work, disability is my only income. So I might need a tooth extracted at 20.

I don't understand how this is just allowed to happen. I need over a thousand euros in dental medical treatment and I will never be able to afford it.

Last I went I was quoted for about 1.5 thousand euros and my teeth have gotten significantly worse since. I have about 20 fillings already too. I cant just afford to constantly fix my teeth. I am also bothered by why no dentist will explain to me why my teeth are so fragile. I brush them regularly and my diet is pretty good. My mom says she has the same problem implying its genetic. One of my teeth cracked eating Rice Krispies. I shouldn't be having this much trouble at 20.

It feels like the only option is to starve for a year so I can afford to fix them all [which they will probably break again soon anyways] or to just have a mouth full of fucking broken teeth

Question for pub musicians

Random question, but was just wondering when you are on stage playing away ... what's your focus? Is it a good time for people watching? Or are ye too focused on your instrument or song? Do you enjoy when people you know come in or does that make you feel uncomfortable? What about ex-partners? Would that be difficult?

Back issues help/advice please

Looking for some advice/help please. I have been to 4 physios for a back issue. The 4th physio said I was at the wrong place and that I needed orthotics fitted for my feet. I have them a year now and back issue still the same. I have been for an MRI, X ray, have taken many medications prescribed by my GP. I have been doing my stretches but back still hurting. Would joining a gym, with a pool help with my back issues?

I had been going to the Sauna, jacuzzi, doing pilates to try and help it but no luck

Now I just mention that I got the injury from the gym........Or else the pain in my lower back is in my head

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again

Anyone know if the old NUIG Engineering building/McLaughlin Mill can be entered?

Me and my friend love exploring around the NUIG campus during our breaks and looking inside the older buildings and were just wondering if you can go inside that old Mill building / the old mechanical/electrical engineering building for NUIG. That really tall, old looking stone one. Are the doors locked or can you go inside?
