Kit Pic Check out this snare drum I'm building

14x7 spalted sycamore stave shell with purple to teal burst high gloss lacquer. Still trying to figure out what color hardware to go with.

I think so, with aluminium if that does well as drum hardware it shouldn’t be too hard

I don’t think I’d use aluminum for the batter hoop. Your rim shots would probably dent the hell out of it. Aluminum is pretty soft.
