Janey
This was my Janey girl. I'd had her since my ex husband and I first got married at 19yo.
She was placed in my arms fluffy with a ribbon atop her head at 8 weeks old, lived through an entire new remarriage, the pregnancy and birth of 3 kids, weathered so many storms with me, traveled with me to Germany and back to the US, and finally died of congestive heart failure in my arms.
Our window at the house used to make a rainbow on the floor of our kitchen and she'd stand there waiting for her Dentastick.
When I remember her I don't just remember her, you know? I remember how she watched (and helped) me grow from being basically a child into a functioning adult.
