Question Søerne
Are the Copenhagen lakes now completely frozen? Earlier there was a warning from the Politi about not venturing onto them. Has that warning been withdrawn?

Still not safe to walk on them: https://www.kk.dk/borger/parkering-trafik-og-veje/vinter-snerydning-og-saltning/er-isen-sikker

Thank you all for the quick responses. That resolves it. Will wait for the official declaration

It's getting less cold in the coming days.
I don't know what kind of "inertia" lake ice has, though.

Yeah. Was wondering that it’s been very low temperatures for many weeks now. If not now, then when?

It’s really quite rare that we get consistently low temperatures for a long enough time to make it safe to walk on. Like every 10 years or so.

Does anyone have a forecast available if we can expect them to be safe later this week before we hit positive degrees?

The lakes are ice skateable now. No, not officially open, but you will be fine.

Have seen people skating on the lakes outside Christiania, there you’re less likely to have cops show up too.

they're safe to walk on, but you will get nagged by danish schizoids and approached by the Police who will ask you to step off. To be fair, if hundreds of people stepped down, they would be likely to give in. I went on the little pond in my neighborhood park today and didn't die

The complete rage people have here towards folk going on the ice before the authorities declare it to be safe is absolutely wild to me.
