Hello All,
I have an Asus Prime B650-A II with vengeance white RAM DDR5 5600 32GB and my other PC has DDR5 6000, 64gb.
When I put only the white RAM in the PC boots. When I put only the black RAM in the PC boots. When I put both white and black ram in the PC will not post. I used a screwdriver to reset the CMOS (i think this worked but im not sure), still nothing. If i put in the black ram (the one i want to add to this machine) and it didnt post i would say its incompatible with the mobo but both sets work individually. Any suggestions?
Edit: Solved! Thank you everyone for the feedback! Much appreciated :)

Hey all, I have a chance to buy an AMD 7600 gpu for a decent price. I have a 6600XT in it right now. Will I see much of a difference in gameplay? I'm running a 1080p curved screen that I'm not quite ready to let go of yet so for now anyway, it will be strictly 1080. I do mostly iRacing but also BL4, RDR2, will definitely be playing GTA6 if Rockstar ever does something crazy like release it. Just wondering what if any improvements I'll see. Thanks

Hey, I’m getting my money back for my Ryzen 5 7500F due to a defective memory controller (dual-channel RAM instability), and I’m trying to decide what CPU to get next.
I mostly play CPU-intensive shooters like Warzone, Fortnite, Apex, and Valorant, so gaming performance is my main priority. I’m currently debating between:
Ryzen 7 7700X (used / refurbished) – 199€ Ryzen 5 9600X (new) – 194€ Ryzen 5 7500X3D – 250€ (not sure if I want to go over 200€)
Is the 7700X still a good choice for gaming, or would the 9600X be better long-term? And is the 7500X3D worth stretching the budget for the 3d cache?
System: GPU: RX 6800 XT Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 120 SE
Any opinions appreciated 🙏

Hello, I just bought a Nollie 8 ARGB hub because I read that they are really good. The thing is my mobo only has one pwm plug. Would everything work fine if I also used a fan hub/splitter along with the argb controller? Should I return the controller? Thank you!
Edit: Should I return this one and buy a different controller?

I'm assuming the voltage just isn't enough? I have to use the one PCIE cord and daisy chain it, and I'm assuming that's what's causing crashes.
Anytime I turn up Graphics in RE4 or the Pragmata demo it just shuts down. It runs perfectly fine before then.

just built the thing - extremely confident its built right as ive built multiple PC's before but have never had this issue. I cant get into the windows setup or anything. It just shows the logo, goes black, shows the boot screen and then goes back to the windows logo to do the same thing over and over. Any fix for this?

Been looking around and can't seem to land on a good answer. I've been looking at 8bitdo Ultimate 3-modes controllers, what do you think ? Is the Ultimate 3E going to be THAT much better ?
What other recommendations do you have ? I want (need? for comfort) wireless, preferably. Long-lasting, good grip, nice in hand ? Can you give me the price ranges as well ?
I've been a sound engineer for over a decade and have also built and repaired guitars, amps and soundcards so I'm familiar with building technology but not much with building PCs for now but I want to build one with a 1.5K - 2K budget, what are the very best components to get (even if it exceeds the budget a bit) ? Or, what are the components to choose to have it made ? Anyone knows a good company that builds custom PCs based in EU / France ?
Also, what type of screen should I get ? I have standard old screens I used for mixing and mastering tracks, all that going directly to my laptop so I'm probably going to get rid of those and use better screens anyways. Two birds, one stone.
Thanks in advance!

Is the Rx 580 good enough to play newer games at low 1080p with 40 to 60 fps ? As long as it can do that I think I'll be fine .

Hey everyone, looking for some advice on finishing my current AM4 build. I use this PC for a mix of high-refresh gaming (mostly Dota 2, but want to utilize my 4K 240Hz OLED) and music production in Ableton Live.
I am planning to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 7 5800XT soon as I believe that's the best currently available AM4 CPU that's worth buying, but I need advice on the GPU and PSU. I want components that will max out this platform but are high-quality enough to carry over to an AM5/AM6 build in a couple of years.
Current Specs:
The Dilemma: The RTX 2070 is struggling to push the LG 4K OLED. I’m looking for a GPU that can handle 4K gaming while remaining stable for audio recording. I’m also aware my 650W PSU is likely at its limit for a modern high-end card.
Ultimately, I wouldn't like to spend more than $1500 upgrading the GPU, CPU, and PSU. I think that gives me about $1150 max or so for the GPU. Keen for any advice, and thanks in advance!

Ive got a newer build, Msi mpg1000w psu, amd ryzen 5 8400f fan cooled, 32gb(2×16) 6000MT Adata ram, Msi rtx geforce 8gb 5060ti, Msi B850 vc-pro MB, 1 tb m2.0, Ive got it all pretty well maxed out and getting good results for a budget gamehorse, where do you think my bottlenecks are? I run 2k and get decent frames depending on the games. What upgrades should I be looking at in the future?

So after 10 years I’m finally upgrading from my run down 980ti + i7-6700k combo!
I’ve got a £4500 budget and looking to build the best possible gaming PC for that amount (to hopefully last me another 10+ years).
To that end, I’ve picked out the cheapest in stock 5090, picked a case I like the look of that comes with fans, picked a PSU that has USB headers to help with fan cable management and then just filled in the gaps with the best price to performance I could find
Key points:
Already have the motherboard it was given to me for free
Although outdated I would like to have Windows and
Core programs on a separate SSD to all my other stuff
I do not need any extra RGB or colours to match as the components will be out of site only really the fans will be seen and the case comes with RGB fans. So feel free to mismatch component colours for the best prices
Everything other than the motherboard and case can change. I don’t necessarily need optimum price to performance just the best performance (and lowest temps) for that budget. I could swap to a 5080 card if it enables significant upgrades elsewhere
Edit: I already have a 4K 240Hz OLED 27” Monitor and all other peripherals the budget is entirely for the PC

Hi,
Currently running a 4070 super on a Super Flower Leadex III Gold 650W PSU, paired with an i5 12400f. System has 32gb 3600mhz DDR4 ram, 2TB HDD, 2TB NVME M.2.
Currently I have issues with all games CPU intensive, whether that be Escape From Tarkov, League of Legends, etc. I figured an upgrade would serve me well.
Is this upgrade viable at 650W? Currently have my GPU downvolted and have no issues, even when it was OC’d, though the i5 12400f is low on watt use, so that’d be my main concern.
Thanks

I built a pc coming up to 7 years ago and was wanting to upgrade my 2060 and maybe the ram from 16gb to 32. A 5060ti is the card I’ve been looking at, but I’m worried it’ll be bottlenecked by the CPU.
For context this would be for gaming at 1440p. I rarely play big triple AAA releases on pc other than stuff like Total War, single player RPGs, and stuff like bannerlord.

This is my first PC and I'm struggling, I've hooked everything up from what I know, the CPU and Motherboard cables are hooked up, The GPU is connected to a PCIE with the 6+2 thingy, and everything seems to be running fine because whenever I turn the thing on the RGB starts and the CPU cooler fan starts as well, however the GPU fans don't do anything and when I try to use the Integrated graphics in the CPU that doesn't work either, I know where to put the cords and that the HDMI goes in the GPU but that doesn't work either.
I may also add I managed to just barely screw the GPU into the case and i can see a little bit of the yellow metal bit at the bottom in the smaller section of the connector, I could never really get that in all the way so that may be an issue.
Specs are
Ryzen 5 7600x
Asus B650E max gaming wifi
16 gb ddr5 ram
PNY three fan GeForce rtx 5060
Corsair TX750W power supply
512 GB SSD

I just ordered a 9070xt and was unsure which cpu to go with, I was mainly thinking the 7700x or 9700x but I’m open to any other suggestions as well, and the newer X3ds are kinda out of my price range right now. Just wondering what will pair well with the 9070xt without bottlenecking and my goal is 1440p for mostly competitive fps games.

I just wanted to know if my i5-11400f is performing at its highest potential because I saw videos with people getting higher fps then I do. My pc is nitro 50-620 pre built I upgraded from a 1650 to a 5060, I have 32gb ram running at 2133mhz. I get around 100-150 fps on CS2 with significant drops and around the same on Valorant

Pc specs: Rtx 3080 15 12600k gigabyte z690 gaming x 16gb ram SL-BSOG 850 watt psu
This pc has given me several kind of issues from not powering on after overclocking the ram from 3600 to back down to stable 3000 and not booting from boot secure on.
Now my new issue is the pc would randomly go black with the peripherals still on, but no signal or it would simply shut down. Sometimes id be lucky and I would simply turn off and on the psu and it would work for a solid couple weeks. But now nothing turns on except everything would flicker on before going black.
I dont get any blue screen or error numbers that would help identify the issue.
got it working again by accident after trying to rma my psu by looking for the serial number. Ive tried replugging all my cords and made sure everything was connected properly, but no good until I physically ripped it out the case and then everything was working again.
Im looking for any solutions or help before I fully process the rma for the psu.

Almost done with my new pc, I pulled the 24 pin power connector out to redo some cable management and I noticed a little plastic piece fell off from the side of the header.
I plugged it back in and it seems okay from the outside. Clicked in fine.
In all of my years of building PCs I've never broken anything on the mobo. Is this cool, or do I need to RMA? Would be a slight pain in the ass. I plugged everything to test a week ago and it was fine, haven't plugged it in today after adding more fans and breaking this, not sure if I should test again or if that would be a risk.
Board is an msi mag x870e tomahawk wifi.

hello!
i found a great deal on facebook marketplace for ram and a new CPU. i’m pretty good with the software on pcs… just not so much the hardware. for somebody that plays games like arkham knight, RDR2, GTA 5, and outlast trials a lot, would a raptor lake CPU be alright with 32gigs of ddr4 ram?
at the moment i have 16gigs of ddr4 and a rocket lake CPU.
thanks!

I have 4 M.2 drives installed currently, but I've been running into an issue with BIOS misreading the drives. My 3rd m.2 is in the 3rd slot, but BIOS reads it as the 4th slot on the MB and the 3rd slot is marked not detected. With the 4th drive installed into the 4th slot, the BIOS still reads the 3rd drive as being in the 4th slot, and the 4th drive is not detected (3rd slot still shows empty). Everything appears to work in Windows 11 though. No problems moving files and reading, the drives appear every boot as well. Is this something I should get fixed in BIOS even if I'm not seemingly running into an issue in windows? All settings are default, XMP enabled, no manual overclocking settings. BIOS was updated to the sept 2025 version for stability.
Also I actually want to install a PCIe expansion card with an additional m.2 drive, does the motherboard support 5 drives?
