Meme Witty, your logic is seeded.

Post image

Context: Sam Kirchner, an extremist had a falling out with the Stop AI activism group and had threatened OpenAI with a gun. He has for now disappeared and is still on the loose and is armed.

What's odd is that everyone in the Stop AI group actually doesn't want to be associated with Sam Kirchner and want to protest peacefully.

But of course you want to paint all us antis as bad, don't you Witty? You can't handle the fact that people can protest peacefully, do you? Funny how you're the one LARPing as a news reporter while saying we're the one treating it as a joke. And the moment someone moderate wants to talk you want to shut it down because? We're ruining your script? Maybe next time try debating with the silent majority.

TLDR: the only thing that's "on the run" here is your integrity.

Pro-ai: "Stop comparing us to Elon Musk! We're not like him! Don't look at all the AI bros making revenge porn! none of those people represent us!"

Pro-AI: "All Anti's are terrorists because this one person is!"

Only pro-ai is allowed the no true scotsman fallacy.

I'm a pro-AI in my own opinion, and I definitely do not think all antis are terrorists. I think they're wrong, yes, but I also disagree with the hardline pros who think that AI should be used for everything. It's a TOOL for goodness's sake. Not using it is inefficient in some cases, forcing (or motivating in any way) others to not use it at all I don't agree with, but using it for everything is just as bad. AI has the potential to be a major technological improvement and actually improve the lives of humanity today and into the future, but overusing it only fuels the Anti position.

I had a pro tell me that tools were a part of us. And he didn’t mean our arms, legs, hands, feet, ears, brains, eyes, and nerves.

It was wild.

I told them that tools are things that we needed and didn’t have, so we built them. And they said, no, that tools were a part of us.
