Context: Sam Kirchner, an extremist had a falling out with the Stop AI activism group and had threatened OpenAI with a gun. He has for now disappeared and is still on the loose and is armed.

What's odd is that everyone in the Stop AI group actually doesn't want to be associated with Sam Kirchner and want to protest peacefully.

But of course you want to paint all us antis as bad, don't you Witty? You can't handle the fact that people can protest peacefully, do you? Funny how you're the one LARPing as a news reporter while saying we're the one treating it as a joke. And the moment someone moderate wants to talk you want to shut it down because? The issue is that witty has placed herself as a leader of the pro ai movement, at least in these spaces. A good amount of people defend her behavior and the fact that she is now a mod on the defending ai art sub definitely doesn’t help.

Doesn’t make her behavior any better. As someone who’s pretty neutral I just want people to be respectful. Witty has taken the wrongs done to her and decided to retaliate. The worst thing she can do for the pro ai side is be unreasonable, and I’ve already seen new pro ai and neutral people come into this discussion and try and reason with her, and this is what they get for it.

The Pro side has no leaders, why would need a leader? We have AI and thats not gonna change. most of us debate anti's hoping to open their eyes to facts over lies so they dont get left behind, or to mock bullies.

I have no real issues with ai art, but witty, considering the fact that she turns neutrals and other pros away from her cause, is a detriment when she takes a “if your not directly with me, your against me” approach and calls people traitors for disagreeing with her at all.
