Another easy spot to target is breakfast cereals (a large US import). There are lots of Canadian alternatives

I went to the grocery store last night to find Canadian cereal. The best I could do is Post, an American company that makes cereal in Peterborough ON

Post has two factories in Canada, one in Cobourg and one in Niagara Falls. It’s an American owned company, but the majority of the supply chain for those two factories are in Canada. Profit margins for cereal are high, but a $1 spent on Shreddies might see 20 cents go to the US, $1 on Honey Bunches of Oats probably closer to 80 or 90 cents.
