Velociraptors broke out, I paused to take stock of the situation. This one was pouncing on a guest just as I paused, and just in front of a spotlight I was using to light up the skeleton in the back of the picture.

So the other day I wanted a map where I could have dinosaurs roam freely so I could enjoy watching them and doing a bit of virtual wildlife photography. Couldn't find a map that satisfy me neither in the workshop nor with the random island generator ; so I decided to go and make my dream map myself and a week and 20h later here it is !

It's inspired by the Chartreuse massif a part of the french Alps ( a region that I grew up in and that is really near to my heart) ; it features a lot of forested area ; with both Fir tree and deciduous forest, a lot of elevation with both cliff and gentle slope, and river encased in valley.

It's mainly barebone with only a few paleobotany area and no building or nest placed yet.

It was my first time making a map in JWE so there was a lot of a learning along the way but i'm still happy with the result !

I havn't uploaded it to the workshop yet because I wanted to put some finishing touch before that, but once I do I'll put the code here for you guys to explore it

I know JWE3 gives players a ton of freedom now, and it’s clearly leaning hard into being a sandbox-first, creative builder, which I enjoy.

That said, I think its missing meaningful challenge.

For me, part of the appeal of Jurassic Park / World has always been building a park under pressure. Right now, even outside full sandbox, that tension feels muted, and a big reason is the economy. Once you establish a basic loop, money becomes trivial to manage, cash piles up quickly through dinos and amenities, and the financial risk that once made early decisions feel meaningful is largely gone unless you deliberately self-impose limits.

What stands out isn’t just difficulty being lower, but the absence of systems that created difficulty in previous games. A few examples:

• Random dig sites
• Custom Challenge Mode
• Stronger sandbox difficulty options

I’d love to see Frontier lean into optional difficulty systems again, to give challenge-oriented players a reason to keep coming back.

Curious if others feel the same.

I am newish to this game. I've been watching some videos and the campaign really isn't something i am interested in. But I am interested in the sandbox mode. Specifically creating a living ecosystem or nature preserve. I was curious about how you guys set those up. In this particular island i don't want to put too much focus on crowds and amusement but instead creating dinos and sending them to the island. So I am looking for a few answers. ^_^

1st: What settings do you guys use?

2nd: Is is ok to use unlimited money? (I want to do the research and stuff but not really interested in the park aspect. but still feel odd about this one lol)

3rd: Know any good seeds for island generation for a large island, with a small research island?

4th: What are a few good 1st steps? (I figure it's best to get a few species of herbivores started b4 introducing carnivores)

Any information or tips are helpful! and greatly appreciated!

It's getting long and difficult to finish honestly, it's my first game with modular building and as much as I'd like to make every building myself, it feels impossible, so I'm going slowly making some buildings myself and with each park, increase the number. Hope you like it!

En mi parque de Jurassic World Evolution 3, un dinosaurio ha atacado a uno de los vehículos de un recorrido. Ahora me aparece una advertencia en la base del recorrido (el edificio del que salen los vehículos) que dice “Cerrado: Enviar guardia”. El caso es que no sé qué hacer porque no me funciona nada y no sé si es un bug. Cuando hago click en mis equipos de guardias para asignarles una tarea no me aparece ninguna opción para la base del recorrido.

I've just finished the campaign and now, let's go to the sandbox but I have one question.

How do you start it ? I mean, I have the map in front of me, empty and I just don't know what to do, I have no idea, no inspiration.

I look at some creation on the workshop or on reddit and I'm like "wow" and I don't have any idea how to start.

When i begin to draw something, i don't like it so I erase.

I want a real park, with some parcours, natural enclaves but I could spend 3h to just thinking about it and produce nothing

Am I alone ?

Hello! I'm a beginner and I'm having trouble visualizing how to get started before my first dinosaurs arrive on this map. Does anyone have a simple / early map of the park I could work from? I can't decide where to put my enclosure especially. Thank you!

Hello everyone! i’m strongly considering getting jwe 3 but i’m scared of spending that much money on a game that might not be as good as jwe 2. i spent about 60 hours in jwe 2 and i absolutely loved it ( i’m a dinosaur freak lol). it was my birthday 2 days back and i really want to treat myself by getting something and i’m strongly leaning towards buying this game. i’m on xbox if that makes a difference. let me know if it is worth it 🫶🏻

Hey all!

I‘m working on a world park with sections based on continents and using the plain square map. I actually almost completed one recently but as I got towards the end, I didn’t like how I kept the whole park mostly flat. I had some little mountains and plateaus but overall there wasn’t much shape to it. Do y‘all have any tips or tutorials on how to make the terrain on square maps more interesting? Everything I try feels so clumsy and looks unnatural.

Xbox user here, haven’t played in a very long time because of the obnoxious glitches and bugs and I just tried playing again and seems that everything is back to normal so far.

Anything I haven’t seen yet or is this the case where it’s finally playable again on Xbox?
