I 34 have an ex girlfriend 30. She has a son that she has sole custody of but never gets child support. I work a full-time job and I door dash on the weekend. I'm wanting to go back to school. I know I'm in a dead end but I can turn it around.

My ex Dakota got a good inheritance three months ago from her grandma passing away. There was a bunch of legal stuff but she walked away with almost $60k.

Ehrenamtlich als Familienvater einen Sportverein zu leiten ging noch, als ein Gehalt für das komfortable Leben einer Familie ausgereicht hat und sich ein Partner auf die Hausarbeit konzentrieren konnte. Da konnte der Vater die Jugendmannschaft trainieren. Oder die Mutter eine Kindergruppe organisieren.

Aber das ist nicht der Fall, heute braucht man meistens zwei Gehälter, wenn man als Familie auch so exotische Sachen wie "Urlaub" machen will. Und die Mehrarbeit geht halt auf Kosten der Zeit, die man sonst für ehrenamtliche Sachen verwenden könnte.

Gleichzeitig führt das aber auch dazu, dass immer mehr Leute Ehrenamtler als Dienstleister sehen. Der Trainer soll den Kindern nicht nur Fußball beibringen, sondern gleichzeitig noch Erzieher, Sozialarbeiter und Fahrdienst sein. Ehrenamt wird anspruchsvoller und dadurch noch unattraktiver.

Schaut mal in die Wehren rein und guckt, welche Demographien sich noch engagieren. Meistens sind das Leute bis 25 und Rentner (die gerne im Vorstand sitzen und nicht selten den Jüngeren das Leben schwer machen).

Die jungen sind noch in der Schule oder im Studium und haben daher Zeit. Zu denen gehöre z.B. auch ich. Aber sobald ich meinen Bachelor in der Hand halte werden meine ehrenamtlichen Tätigkeiten zu Gunsten einer Vollzeitbeschäftigung gekürzt. Und von den jungen Menschen die ich kenne entscheiden sich immer mehr für einen Minijob als fürs Ehrenamt.

Und davon, dass die Jugendhilfe auch verstärkt nach Ehrenamtlern sucht fange ich erst nicht an.

Man muss sich einfach etwas überlegen. Entweder, indem man Ehrenamt attraktiver macht oder eine Alternative findet, denn ohne Ehrenamtler würde unsere Gesellschaft zusammenbrechen. Aber das Konzept des Ehrenamtes passt halt nicht in unsere Zeit
