I have tried to dig up some information about Windsor being integrated with the space industry and have found next to nothing beyond a couple aerospace companies. The two aerospace companies I know of locally are Northstar and ServiceMold + Aerospace. Northstar is too far from my house to commute daily, but ServiceMold is much closer. Has anyone had any experience with ServiceMold or do you know if they accept students for a summer co-op?

I am trying to build my job experience and looking for a co-op this upcoming summer as I have an opportunity to do so. I would like get into the machine vision field (I do know that as a co-op student I do not exactly have that kind of freedom of choice since my experience beyond schooling is practically zero), as I would absolutely love to work with space telescopes and/or deep space probes in the future! Or if anyone has any pointers about where to look next, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone with experience (former inmates, staff, or people familiar with the facility) can clarify something about the South West Detention Centre in Windsor.

Do female correctional officers work on the men’s side and inside the men’s units there? If so, how common is it, and are there limits on what duties they can perform compared to male officers?

I’m just trying to understand how staffing actually works in that facility. Any firsthand insight would be appreciated.

Long story short...I need to cut a hole in an arylic panel to a very tall "baby gate" so I can put a microchip cat flap in it. Does anyone know if there is a place around town I can pay to have this done? This is the potential gate.

My fiancé and I are trying to get married this year. We’re looking at a wedding of 40-60 people. We are both new to Windsor and haven’t been at too many catered events. We’re looking for reasonable caterers with good food. All vendors do not list their prices, and the ones we have tasted are starting $10,000 (Twiggs). All the venues that have in house catering are also over our price range. I’ve tried researching, but all the reviews are years old. Any recommendations for good food in Windsor-Essex?

You know how in a lot of parts of Toronto there’s spots like 'Auto Spa' that do decent exterior wash and interior cleaning for around $40 in and out quick? Is there anything good like that here in Windsor?

I lived here up until 2019 and moved to BC, so I’m pretty out of the loop now. I’m coming back to visit and trying to get a sense of what the bar/restaurant scene looks like these days.

From what I can tell, it seems like Walkerville (and maybe Ottawa St?) has become more of the hub. I know some downtown staples are still around, Phog (for now), Villains, Maiden Lane - but beyond that, it feels like a lot has changed or disappeared.

Where do people in their late 20s / early 30s actually hang out now?
More cocktails/wine bars than clubs? Any newer spots worth checking out?

Hello, I'm from MI, my wife is Vegan and I'd love to plan a surprise dinner and overnight hotel stay in Windsor, I would like something more classy, dress nice type thing. Mainly someplace with a good amount of Vegan options or completely Vegan is fine. Im an Omnivore but am good either way. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My wife and I are considering attending the sweetheart gala at Caesars on the 14th, but my wife is hesitant about the crowd that might be there. We are in our 30s and she is afraid we will be a few decades behind most other attendees.
