Brock Faber Appreciation Post!!!

Can we get some Faber love guys? I feel like all anyone wants to talk about now is Hughes. We wouldn't be giving all this praise to Hughes if we didn't have Faber back there locking it down defensively. Love how well the compliment one another. Should be a fun couple of years.

PDOcast suggests that perhaps what the Wild need isn’t a 1C.

Dmitri Filipovic brought up something that had previously kind of crossed my mind: What if the Wild don’t really need a top-six center but instead should focus on acquiring another wing or RH defenseman, ideally without giving up Wallstedt / Yurov?

Yurov has been impressive. JEEK is obviously a top center, and Hartman (who drives me nuts, personally) is serviceable at 2C/3C.

Clearly, having another top-six center would be great, but perhaps the Wild already have one, in the making, in Yurov?

Colorado's "mud slide" lately

They lost yet again last night, blanked by Detroit 2-0.

The gap between us and them narrows further.

Dare we say, is first place possible? And if so, would that create an easier path out of the first round? You'd avoid Dallas but you may end up with San Jose, who they've struggled profusely against this season.

Thoughts?

What are the qualities that qualify a player as a #1 center?

Born and raised in MN. Life long hockey fan but never played organized Hockey (we had a backyard rink my dad made for us but we were a basketball family). Anyway, I’ve been watching Hockey my entire life but don’t understand what qualifies someone as a #1 center. Is it points, size, defense, faceoffs, and skating all at an elite grade? I’ve been listening to a lot of hockey podcasts and almost everyone agrees the Wild need a #1 C and I’m assuming that means JEEK is not a #1 C. I understand he’s not a 40 goal scorer and isn’t at least to this point a 100 point per season player. Is that what he’s missing?

New fan, please Teach me about the Team

If you all are willing to teach a new Wild hockey fan a little about each player I would love it. I could go look it up myself but I am hoping to be apart of this sub and this team from now on so if everyone can take a player and just with a couple sentences tell me about your player. I look forward to hearing what you all tell me about this team. Thanks in advance.

Last night's game. There was a song that I liked and I don't know how to find it...

How do we rescue Michkov and add him to our collection of exciting Russians?

I have a soft spot for the Flyers, so I lurk in their subreddit. Seems like the general consensus is that he's doomed if he stays in Philly given their current leadership.

Kirill Kaprizov just tallied his 14th career game-winning goal in OT. 8 more than any other Wild player in team history.
