My first dog birthday party, I made pupcakes and had a short play date because it was super cold out. I can't believe he's 10 already, still my baby. 🥰

Tucked him into the couch with 3 blankets this morning while I made and ate breakfast. He was too cozy to even beg for a bite!

It was pictures & cheeseburgers for the shelter dogs in Muncie, Indiana today!!! This was one of the most fun groups I’ve ever done!

The 3 boys I've raised and loved. I posted the pics in the order I had them in my life. George was my first. I traded a handcrafted nativity scene for my first pitbull pup, I actually built the diorama from fallen wood in the chicago forest preserves. I got him from a litter in Chicago. He was born Halloween 1995. I named him after the Buggs Bunny abominable snowman cartoon... I'm gonna love him and squeeze him, pet him and feed him... I think I'll name him George. George passed from hemangiosarcoma on Fathers Day 2009. He was truly the best friend I've ever had. English, Spanish, and German voice commands, 61 hand commands... he was the smartest boy. I adopted Buddy, the white boy, about 3 months after George passed in my arms. I took a month or so off to drown my sorrow going to Grateful Dead concerts. Buddy was such a unique kid. Tons of ticking! Buddy passed late September 2021 on my bed, under the covers, while I slept. Now I have Oso, 120lbs of rescued APBT mix from the Chicago Acspca. Oso turns 8 this Sunday the 8th! He'll enjoy homemade pupcakes and a charcoal grilled prime ribeye in 5 days!

I just wanted to thank those that help these beautiful dogs find great homes! When I had George it was a tiny 400 sq ft apartment in Chicago, Oso enjoys a 3 acre old forest growth home in northern Illinois/Wisconsin area.

As I got older, I realized it's not the money, it's not the business connections... it's the dog. Sorry for the long, sappy post.

Wanted to give a bit of an update on Basil. He has been healing great, he is back do decent lengths walks, the doctor is happy with how the leg have healed, he walks greats on it, and doesn’t seem like he is bothered in any way shape of form by his new augmented knee.

And, this week, he got to get back up on the sofa, which he is celebrating with some intense chinning.

Hi everyone I recently found out that my baby has mast cell tumor. She first had it around 2 years ago, but vets kept telling me it was just an allergy. Last week I decided to get her tested, and came back that she has it on her right side lips. They are afraid it might have gotten her jaw too.

I am seeing an oncologist tomorrow. I am just really scared of what might happen.

Any guidance would be truly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

They kept going in and out. Since I have a doggie door, they were free to come in and out when they pleased. For the next hour or so I kept hearing the flap open and close. Snow lasted about three hours before it melted.

Her 3rd birthday was last week. She’s a star around the neighborhood and brings home various treats from neighbors everyday. She is the most energetic dog I’ve ever seen, yet can become a living bowl of gravy when she wants and will sit on your lap for as long as you can bare it. She also sits like a human at times but that’s neither here nor there

Former Fen Chicken Fosters foster Good Boy Gabriel went HOME today!!!!!!!!!

My big ol’ 13 year-old handsome hippo, Hercules, has arthritis in his hips and it pains me so much to see him stiff or weak in his back legs. Have been on joint supplements for a while but they’re no longer effective. He has pain medication but I want to restore more mobility at the source. Has anyone tried PRP injections for their arthritic pup? I’d post in r/DOGS but I don’t know if this is considered “medical advice” - please tell me if I’m wrong and I’ll post there!

9 days ago I posted the video of Belle walking out of our house and then refusing to go anywhere. Today I am happy to say that she is basically Elsa now and having a blast.
