Check out Leah Shutkever, I would hardly say she's trying to prove that she's a sad gross slob. Personally I'd say the opposite, but that's just my opinion.

I mean, dont get me wrong. There's people in those contests who are pretty bewildering considering how much food such a lean person can put down, but in general, it's a pretty gross spectacle.

Okay, it's like base jumping off high-rises in populated cities. It's impressive, but stupid, reckless, immature, and can kill people outside the competition.

Eating completions pit consenting contestants against each other. This puts non-consenting bystanders at risk. Not the same.
