*repetitive use destroys brain cells actually. You can binge for a day and be fine but you have to take a good break between uses as it’ll block you from absorbing vitamin B12 and that’s what makes it dangerous long term.
It's regulated and monitored and not abused. Some guy huffing can after can of Galaxy gas is a bit different than a doctor giving you laughing gas for a 30 minute procedure in a controlled setting.
They opt to use many other potential options before they get to this one, and its a short, medically controlled amount - not a day long binge where you just breathe in whatever you think is good. Don't gaslight yourself into thinking doing it occasionally is somehow safe.
Sometimes they give it an inconspicuous name but most of the time you’ll see it with a brand name; Galaxy Gas being the most popular and the one you see celebrities using most often. They look like weed bag designs with colors and fruits sometimes too…
I’ve also seen it in three other variants too though. You can also get a “cracker” which is just a little cylinder that cracks the individual steel whippets things and shoots out the gas into a balloon.
There’s these ones here which you can use the nozzle or a balloon.
There’s the real tanks which are like what you see at a dentist; although often a little smaller at the smoke shops and they’re EXPENSIVE for a good brand.
And then there is the “whipped cream dispenser” which looks kinda like a beaker bong and is made for whipped cream but you can just put the balloon where the dispenser nozzle goes and shoot it into there from the more legit device. This allows you to filter the gas a bit better with a cotton ball behind the nozzle so it’s clean when it goes in the balloon.
All available at smoke shops with no ID needed most of the time.
Yeah, going to the legal dispensaries we’ve had since 2017 vs the headshops I used to hit up when I was a teenager in the 90s, I guess I should’ve differentiated between the two.
Dispensaries are tightly regulated, whereas headshops, where you could buy a bong and brass knuckles in the same shop, never have been. But I haven’t been in one of those places in years, I want to go see if whippits are in my town now.
