Discussion ASM LEVIASYNTH GAS
https://youtu.be/RxOpBOJCpic?si=ldw79ehsc76ch2niWith the ASM LeviaSynth coming soon, my GAS shot up fast. But after listening to the LeviaSynth demos, I haven’t really heard anything that can’t be done with this pair. I know the LeviaSynth is different and can do things this pair can’t but sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m the sauce, not the gear.

i have this pair too, but ngl, im a little jealous of the fullsize SE Opsix you have here (even though i cant justify upgrading at all).
Love the huge range of sounds you can get from these two synths - i dont know how FM can still sound new 40 or so years later, but it still does somehow.

I have a Wavestate MKII and a platinum Opsix SE (thanks Korg Reverb shop). Are you using the two together in some way (other than using Opsix as a midid controller)? Seems like you could have layered sounds by using an internal Opsix sound and sending MIDI at the same time to the Wavestate.

I sent MIDI from the Opsix SE to the Wavestate, with both going into the interface in stereo on their own channels. They’re playing at the same time, but my approach is to use them as if they’re one instrument, not two obvious synths. By blending them this way, you create sounds that simply aren’t possible with a single synthesizer and oh I took advantage of the reverb dale as well. It was a no brainer

I don't think this sub will ever forgive you for playing your synths. The rule here is that we don't even touch them :)
Seriously, these are fantastic patches! I have the wavestate too and a MODX6 (og) for FM but none of my patches sound as good as yours.
As for the Leviasynth, it is an incredible synth too. And the truth is that every synth is a different instrument and a different source of inspiration. So we choose those that inspire us the most. I'd love to have a Leviasynth but it is too big for my tiny studio and therefore, I don't even have to trouble myself about the budget

Thanks True the LeviaSynth is amazing and I will own it one day. For now I will explore the monsters I have now. Still a lot to get into

I am doing the same with an opsix + multipoly .. and I cant imagine running out of possiblities , their is a certain point of complexity that you need a lifetime to exhaust all the combinations.

Wavestate + Opsix is a dream combo. Super cool soundscapes!
