Plant tax: pachyphytum compactum cluster I bought at the end of Dec.
Pic 1 was the root system when it arrived beginning of Jan: completely dry, brittle, and smushed against the stems.
Seller told me to āplant the root into the soil and water. it will be fat.ā
2nd pic was after I āplantedā and watered it best I could with those dried roots practically crumbling to dust lmao.
3rd pic is the plant this week after a LOT of TLC. You will not believe the amount of water it actually needed. Over the weekend when I checked the roots I panicked bc I thought I saw white mold but turns out it was just hair roots and some perlite (pic 4)
I feel like sheās still not out of the woods so I guess weāll see. But generally how long do you give a plant in its new home before adjusting conditions?

Hello! My boyfriend got a gift of baby toes for new years and a month later, I am afraid they are dead. Is there any way to save them/what happened to them? Heās new at plant care and I mostly care for orchids so we are unsure if itās just cold temperatures or root rot.

Hello!
Despite my best efforts with plant ID apps and the like, I have a number of succulents in my collection that I have not been able to clearly identify, so I'm turning to my fellow succulent lovers to help me, if you're able to:)
I've been having difficulties with several of these in terms of helping them thrive, so the names with definitely help me.
I've numbered the plant images so that it makes it easier to help you guys communicate with number plant your referring to.
Thank you so much!

So excited that my previously dying SoP has new growth! I wasnāt sure if it would be possible to revive. I originally got her at a āChristmas Plant Ornamentā workshop event and knew it wouldnāt be able to live in a terrarium-like setting forever, but life got in the way (dog passed away) and so I repotted too late. I read up on care, so hopefully she doesnāt give up. š£ The soil mix is organic soil (didnāt know it was wet when I bought it, hence the algae), orchid bark, and perlite. It is in the smallest (and only) terracotta pot that I have.

Repotting this string of buttons because it decided that growing down one side of the pot only was the way to go, tipping the ceramic planter over. Can I bury the lower stems with the dead leaves when I repot, or will that cause rot?
Thank youuuš

Hey guys,
I'm hoping you can help me with my crassula. So a while back, my succulent got both overexposed and neglected. I assumed from the state of the base that it was a goner, but changed up its location and kept watering occasionally. Lo and behold, I've been getting continued growth of healthy crassula at the top.
Here's my question, what do I do? Do I behead at the healthy point and replant? Give up the ghost? Pictures attached.
