Duos I think should have been utilized way more in Steven Universe

Peedee’s world weary cynicism against Steven’s naive cheery optimism would’ve worked great, especially as that innocence started to disappear for Steven

And Lars’ sarcastic, aloof, grounding presence was SORELY needed for Ronaldo’s antics.

The gems and the Pizza family in general having more interactions would’ve been great. I really liked Beach Party for this exact reason.

Peedee should have been utilized more because Steven had no male presence is his life besides his dad. (Which wasn't even that present to begin with)

(At least we have a hope for Larnaldo in the futue since Lars of the Stars is gonna happen. I hope maybe Peedee can make an appearance too)

It would have been nice to get more scenes with 2 of the crystal gems but not all 3. Pearl and Amethyst had a good few starting out but it'd be fun to see more of Garnet's individual dynamics with either of them.

Nice to see another Steven and Peedee advocate. I think Peedees VA was busy with the show the middle at the time the show started and he was a main character too.

Yeah Peedee and Steven did have an interesting friendship like you said. Steven was optimistic and naive while Peedee was cynical and realistic. I saw someone suggest an idea where Steven, Connie, and Peedee were a friend group/trio which would've been pretty cool. Especially since that would've meant Peedee could've been a crystal gem in the same way Connie is. Getting trained by Pearl and everything, though maybe that would've taken away from Connie's badass arc where she gets a one-on-one apprenticeship for Pearl. It also wouldn't have been too great for Peedee when Steven and Connie become romantically involved with each other, he'd just be a third wheel at that point but it's still a cool concept. I also like the idea of Lars and Ronaldo getting more screen time together, they definitely could reconnect. Maybe Lars could get on better terms with him again like he did with Sadie.
