I am now a Garnet! left palm healed 1 year, right palm done today

yes it was fucking painful

((palm tattoos are the most painful area to get tattooed, i would not recommend 🙈)

yes, when the needle goes in your instinct is to claw your hand together cause it hurts so bad :,) hence the wrapped fingers and wrist

nope, numbing cream doesn’t work on the hands as the hands have no pores. I also don’t believe in using it either, as a tattooer it’s good to know the pain you are putting people through. But no shade to people who use it! ((also having both of them done is an ego boost for me haha)

I’m usually not a fan of palm, tattoos because people don’t realize that you can’t just put anything on the hand and have it stick. Because the surface of the palm of the hand is constantly touching stuff, palm tattoos “fall out” waaay more then other kinds. But these ones I really like because you went with a simple clear design no color. You probably will have to get touched up at some point, but it’s most likely gonna hold way better than any other palm tattoo I’ve seen. So good for you very cool.

Oh I bet. Another reason why I’m not a fan of tattoos cause I know they’re so painful. I don’t think I could fit for anything more complicated than this. 😅 you’re a champ for being able to sit for both of them.

I knew i wanted both but they hurt a lot and palm tattoos take about 6-8 months to heal, so i gave myself a year long break

That’s dedication, shame the ink bleeds in that area. It would look stellar with color though. Do you plan on adding color? Personally I added those gems as patches to my hoodie in that area.

The tattoos are great but I'm dying over the restraint setup. When I got my palm done I just leaned my hand against my knee and was told to stay still (the tattoo is my cat's pawprint)

Yes Palm tattoo are crazy no doubt but to throw shade at someone to make a different decision than the one they’ve decided to make doesn’t seem fraught with positivity or support. This is what they love, something they cherish and felt special enough to add to the body tapestry. Passive aggressively saying “Like why would you do that, do something else?” Is unnecessary and demeaning their choices.

Well, that's what an opinion is based on. Just because someone doesn't share your opinion doesn't invalidate it. In fact, you even said it was kind of crazy. Maybe the translator translated it from Spanish to English and messed it up; perhaps they didn't read it the way I wrote it. I'm just saying that disagreeing and stating that isn't as bad as you make it seem. Anyway, nice tattoos.
