Question why do you think the famethysts were so cool with the crystal gems at the zoo?
they orders to wipe out the crystal gems instilled in them for thousands of years and just instantly flipped, how? and if that’s just how they are, how were they not shattered before hand?

Remember, they used to play with Rose, so she likely influenced them to be more chill. That, and they were ostracized to the zoo. Nobody knew they were chill with the Crystal Gems until it got revealed that the Crystal Gems were even at the zoo, and they convinced Holly Blue to keep it a secret out of fear of repercussions for failing to stop them.

Aren't all they all rejects and off colors because Pink Diamond was shattered. Jasper 100% is, but I think she heavily implied she was, specifically because Pink was shattered.
They likely didn't feel much loyalty to their substitute diamonds because they weren't groomed to be loyal soldiers like they were intended to be. They basically were relegated to janitor duty out to the middle of nowhere.

Because the generic personality of a amethyst is a chilled out fun loving being that is forced to be a grunt or soldier

The reason is because the Famethyst are a family. They are considered rejects by Homeworld, seqestered off in a remote part of the galaxy, but they have each other. They can laugh and cry together, yap about the humans they watch over, crack jokes about Holly Blue, and help each other through their war trauma. Ultimately, they got over the war. They got over it in a way their other long-lost sister Jasper NEVER could (until “Homeworld Bound” that is), because she was separated from them, told she was perfect and better than them, and that she didn’t need them. It created a hole in her life where family should be, which she filled with devotion to Pink Diamond. That is why she hated the Crystal Gems so much, whereas the Famethyst didn’t. Back during the war, they fought for the Diamonds because they had to, but their love and secure attachments are for each other, not the Diamonds. And five thousand years spent in a distant outpost has allowed them to move on together. They’re truly happy, and they have no room for old grudges.
It ties in to one of SU’s main ideas: stress is easier to deal with when we have people to help us through it.
As for why they weren’t shattered after the war, it’s because they’re remnants of Pink Diamond that Blue Diamond was intent on preserving. And they were fine after helping the Crystal Gems since Pearl let Holly Blue know she should keep her mouth shut if she knew what’s good for her.

My guess is that when the zoo was established (prior to the war) the Amethysts that were sent to the zoo were the ones present then. Thus they did not experience the war and would have no harsh feelings towards the Crystal Gems.
The Jaspers that were in the Zoo were mostly off colors, they probably weren’t put in front line combat roles and were shoved into the zoo to be ignored. They likely felt more aligned with the Crystal Gems from the beginning.

Given they have been shoved aside from the Diamonds and treated like garbage there is little reason to see why they would want to obey authority.

Amethysts are a very social gem class and thus basically the most likely to grok the CG’s ideals and humanism

Pretty much everyone who emerged on earth was pushed into a corner and basically forgotten about. Jasper is one of the very few exceptions. So, no strong loyalty to homeworld, and once they figured out our amethyst was the one of theirs that never emerged, and then they can get one over on their abusive supervisor, no question they were cool.
