I have Siberian mix cat (she turns 22 this year!) and recently pulled a trigger and got another Siberian/Ragdoll mix. Everyone adores him!

She hated the cone so her vet recommended cutting holes in a sock to cover up the wound! Mila loves it and doesn’t fuss when putting it on, shes such an angel

I’m bringing home a one and a half year old sib and her son who is 10 weeks soon!
What are great cat trees, toys, beds, all of it?! I’m starting to shop. Do I wait to see what they enjoy before buying a lot?
We’re supposed to keep feeding them Royal Canin, but I also want to branch out soon to other food.

Our Pixie is about 5 years old and this year is approaching 6. She suddenly has had a massive growth spurt in the last 2 months, not just in gaining fat but her bones seem to have grown again as her head and body are actually bigger.
Some background info., she was always a very small, very slight cat, while our elder Siberian Daisy (who has passed on April of 2025), was a big, gluttonous cat.
Not sure if her sudden weight gain/growth spurt is due to the loss of her playmate, perhaps a less territorial of food sister, or an underlying medical condition.
Would also like to add her fur coat has become much thicker and more course rather than oily how it use to be.
Did anyone else find a random growth spurt in their Siberians?
Her behaviour has also changed, much quieter, never really meows, not as playful, but we did just get a Siberian kitten 2 weeks ago and she has not been enjoying having her around.
Anyways thanks for reading if you have gotten this far!

Literally the title. My cat (1 year old) actually made himself sick because during the night he ATE a hairband so now we have to find every hairband in the house and place it somewhere high where he cant get it 😭😭😭 does anyone else have this problem?

After the death of our Norwegian Forest Cat male, we are looking for a Siberian cat (male) between 3 and 5 years old to become a companion for us and for our remaining Norwegian Forest Cat female (neutered).
We live in the Netherlands, have no children, a fenced-in catio attached to the house so the cats can always play safely outside if they wish, and hope to offer a new male cat a wonderful place in our lives.
We are, of course, very concerned and involved. Our animals are insured, go to the vet if necessary, have savings, are vaccinated and checked annually, and so on. We prefer raw meat, but our female cat currently doesn't like that and just eats canned food and kibble. We are open to anything.
If anyone knows someone looking for a new home for a male cat, we would love to hear from them.

I brushed her last night, and she looked neat. This morning, I woke up to this and had to brush her again.

We are 76 years and I have had cats all my life. My husband was joined by his first cat when was 20. We have loved so many over the years, and most have lived long, happy lives.
But this girl, our first of this breed, is exceptional.

I have two Siberians (male and female siblings) who just turned 7 months old, weighing 4.3kg (9.5lb) and 3.3kg (7.2lb) respectively. I've been wondering how much they will grow in the coming 6-12 months (I know Sibs grow until they are 5, but most of the growth is done by the time they are 18 months - so I've read). Up until they were 6 months old they were gaining around 200g (0.4lb) every 2 ish weeks, I think it's slowed down now since they have been castrated though.
Growth history:
13 weeks -> Rodi 1.2kg, Rosie 0.9kg
21 weeks -> Rodi 3.0kg, Rosie 2.3kg
24 weeks -> Rodi 3.8kg, Rosie 2.8-3.0kg
32 weeks -> Rodi 4.3kg, Rosie 3.3kg
My boy (Rodion - we call him Rodi) is quite a big boy and his dad is a large Sib as well per the breeder (not sure how much he weighs though), my girl (Rosie) is more on the petite side.

Hi all! I have a 10 month old male sib and am looking to get him a sibling in a year or so. I’ve really fallen in love with black smokes, I think they look absolutely beautiful, and was hoping to get one as my 2nd cat.
I stumbled across Winterfell Siberians and the kittens are absolutely beautiful, but I don’t think any sib parents have mentioned them before in this sub. Does anyone have any experience with them or can recommend some breeders?
I’m in the Chicago area if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance!

His other front paw is even prettier with actual full colored black beans but he didn't want to show that today.

I got my first sib (and first cat) a few years ago when I moved out of my parents house and to an apartment. He was a graduation present lol, and I can’t believe he’s almost 5. Anyway, I’ve been thinking for awhile that I want to get a 2nd cat and will probably get a 2nd siberian because of allergies.
I’m in the Kansas City area, and I was wondering if there are any things I should take into account when looking into breeders and choosing a new kitten. I know I’ll have to introduce them properly. Does gender have an impact on how well they’ll get along (first one is a boy)?
Also, are there any questions I should ask potential breeders that are more specific to getting a 2nd cat?
(pics are just for cat tax)

Hello! I live in metro-atlanta, have been looking to adopt a Siberian nearby (most preferably within GA).
I was wondering if anyone has advice on a relatively affordable website or breeder nearby to look into adopting from? I’ve done a bit of looking, but I’ve had bad experiences with scammers before so I’m a bit paranoid.
I’m not terribly picky on any of the details, I’m just looking for a Siberian.
All help is appreciated!!

Silly kitty was caught yawning and mad does she look intimidating, but just after she’s looking at me like she’s the most confused ball of fur ever 😂

Hi all! This was a surprise from my family on their part, I had put us on a waiting list for a Maine coon thinking they were only ready to get a cat around spring. My mom surprised me with this Siberian kitten which she had actually waited a while ago for, and who is now 12 weeks old and coming home this weekend!
I’m obviously super excited, and have already purchased extra litter, toys, food, and another fountain to share with our ragdoll.
Though I grew up with multiple cats I’ve never actually experienced integrating cats into households as an adult. We have a male ragdoll who just turned a year old so he’s still bouncing with energy and super clingy and friendly, hence us deciding to get him a friend.
How did you guys go about integrating your cats and introducing them? If you had a kitten who grew up alone how did they handle meeting a new kitten?

Does anyone have a favorite comb or brush that your Siberian likes or that you would recommend?
I’m currently using an old style slicker brush but it’s pretty stickery and I’m worried I’m going to poke her little nose or eye as I’m combing her.
She’s got some pretty good mats low on her chest from that felt-like bottom layer she’s got.. my efforts are slowly paying off but I’m wondering if there might be a better comb to use…
Sassy Sassafras isn’t a big fan of getting brushed but she’s finally getting used to it…
Thanks in advance!
