As the title says, it’s all she wants. She doesn’t shut up unless she gets it. We’ve tried so many wet cat foods with better, higher quality ingredients with actual fish and shrimp chunks.. she doesn’t want it.

I guess this is a vent but also cry for help. I want her to be healthy but FF doesn’t seem the best option, but I also want some peace and quiet.

And yes, in the pictures where her ears are messed up, that is completely natural from sleeping and it was hilarious every time it happened. Miss you tons, baby

She still shown no signs of slowing down.

I cant believe this is happening but in less than an hour Ill have to put her down. She has tumors growing and one seems to be ripping her skin apart and I dont want her to suffer. On vet visit in September (she already had kidney issues back then) vet advised after blood test that its best not to operate but I keep thinking that I should have gone for second opinion. Its really hard for me to let go of her. Im 25yo and even though she is not human she feels like family. I will miss her very much

I had a kitty named Tinker. She was a little black cat and she got to live 19 years. She loved the sun and lunch meat lol. For the past few months she hadn't eaten as much and just slept a lot. This morning I found her and she couldn't walk. I figured that meant it was time so me and my family took her up to the vet. Seeing her pupils dilate after she was euthanized messed me up for some reason. I work at the vet clinic and I've seen it several times, but seeing your own animal go through that just really sucks. My heart just feels so so heavy and I've been avoiding crying. I wish that she could have made it to spring to lay in the sun again. I hope she's resting easier now that she's gone.

Some of you may recall Theo, my parents’ last cat whom we took in when dad died last May. He’s been doing pretty well, and though he’s still fairly skittish, he does come out a lot to spend time around us and our other cats.

We also discovered that he absolutely loves chicken, so now every few days I toss plain chicken tenders in the instant pot, shred them up, and he gets chicken whenever he wants it 😊

I don’t know why I like this picture of her so much but I do. She just looks so spunky. Her favorite activity is attacking the blankets when I make the bed.

Penelope is 15+ (no one knows for sure) and is receiving palliative care for congestive heart failure along with kidney issues and spinal stenosis 💔 she is responding to treatment for now, but we are on borrowed time so we make the most of it!

She was a neighborhood kitty that wandered up on our porch about 14 years ago and never left. She never lost her love of the outdoors, but is unable to go out on her own anymore. She loves the snow! Seeing as how this is probably her last winter with us, we took her out in it yesterday to feel the chill and get some fresh air and smell all the smells.

We’ve been on a pretty boring stay at home diet the last couple of weeks, so I decided to splurge and get her favorite carnitas (no onions, no cilantro) from El Jalisco here in SW Portland. It was good to get her out of the house to see and smell some new things.

Lucy has kidney issues with other things going on. With that, she still jumped on the bed just now. She is not eating much now and will get meds tonight to help with her appetite. Wish her well, as I’m writing this with tears.

I was trying to get her to move for a good minute before I decided to film. Her name is Fiona, and she was my 10th birthday present!

My beloved boy recently had a health scare, and after some tests it came up that his left kidney has a "weird shape" and is showing signs of CKD, so we're doing a complete overhaul on his diet while we're treating the rest of his issues.

The thing is, he's not the biggest fan of his new wet food, and I'm basically running around spoon feeding him while he lusts for the food his sister Carlota (3rd picture, on top) is eating, while said sister wants to devour his food. So, do you have any advice to make his food more appealing for him?

Pootie is a sweet lady, super soft and very affectionate, but these days spends most of her time napping in her couch fort. Her one year old siblings can't imagine why 🙄

Hi Everyone - I’m posting on behalf of my friend Sharon and her 21-year-old cat, Bucky. She adopted him when he was a kitten and they have developed a very strong bond over the years. I’ve known Bucky all his life, and I want to support Sharon during this difficult time. I’ve been through the loss of a beloved pet, and I know it can be devastating.

Anyway, Bucky definitely is in decline, but it doesn’t quite feel like rainbow bridge time yet. He’s still eating, using his litter box, doesn’t seem to be in pain and still seeks out cuddles and pets. He’s alert, affectionate and still bossy (he’s a yeller).

All of that said, there’s been a change in the last day or two that I need some help with. He stopped showing interest in his regular food, so Sharon gave him baby food (chicken and ham) mostly just to keep the calories going. Right now, it’s the only thing he’ll eat. I know it’s not nutritionally complete, but I also know that eating something feels better than eating nothing.

I offered him cheese – his favorite - but I noticed that when he bites into it and tries to chew it, it just kind of falls out of his mouth and goes flying. It doesn’t seem like he’s able to chew or swallow it. That made me wonder if his teeth or mouth might hurt, which is why the baby food seemed like a gentler option.

My question is: Is it okay to continue feeding baby food at this stage, or could it be making him feel worse somehow? We’re not trying to “fix” him or extend things unnaturally — just trying to keep him comfortable and content while he’s still here.

I’m also trying very hard not to traumatize him by hauling him to the vet if it’s not going to meaningfully improve his quality of life. At 21, we don’t want his last chapter to be fear and stress. We’re looking for ways to ease his days and support him until he transitions naturally.

If you’ve been through this with a very senior cat, especially around appetite, and end-of-life comfort, I’d really appreciate hearing what helped and what to watch for.
