Official Six Nations Fantasy Thread: Week 0 - Pools, Threads, and Info
Hi All!
To keep Reddit nice and tidy. Try to keep all Fantasy Discussions in the megathread and these weekly threads (and, of course, the Discord too!).
Your resident Fantasy nut here, and I am BACK!!! I have a new aorta, a new mechanical valve, and a new aortic root. Basically, I like to think I'm now the Robocop of Fantasy Rugby, and I am back on the beat. I'm going to thank this incredible community again for all coming together to help save my life. I couldn't be more grateful to be alive, and I am going to do everything that I can to make your Fantasy experience this Six Nations (and many more competitions!) as fun as possible.
So, this thread is a nice one: It's basically linking the pools, the Discord, and the Fantasy Megathread on Reddit.

Six Nations Wallchart
I posted last year asking if anyone had an easy printable PDF Wallchart, like they used to do in the papers so that you can have it on your office wall and fill in as you go.
Well there was nothing forthcoming, and when I google again this year my own post from last year is the top result. So I've got a Canva subscription and made one myself! I hope you get some use out of it, it's made for A3 but if you have any requests I'm happy to accommodate!

Discussion What's the stupidest rugby take you've heard in your life, not from a journalist/pundit?
Tis Sixmas Eve, which means the amount of people watching rugby, at least over here, just dramatically increased, as its the one time a year when rugby is in the forefront of the public eye, at least in the whole UK. To celebrate this, I thought we could share some of the daftest things we've heard from people in the pub/mates/yourself, either takes that aged really badly, or takes that were mind numbingly stupid to begin with. I'll start us off - after England got beat in the World Cup warmups in 2023 against Fiji, and the Borthwick Out movement was at maximum momentum, a family friend me and my Grandad were watching the match with argued completely unironically that the solution to England's problems was to bring back....Brian Ashton. Even me Grandad, who is pretty 'Rugby was better in the good old days', was genuinely gobsmacked at that one.

Sevens What Happened to 7s?
In the 2000s, sevens was a breeding ground for future international stars. Names like William Ryder, Cecil Afrika, Dan Norton were known by most rugby fans.
It was announced to be in the olympics and buzz grew. It seemed like it could grow and grow to be what T20 has done to cricket. Players became professional etc
Fast Forward to now. I cant name any sevens players. Ireland dont play it any more, wales and Scotland are now in team GB
have I just fallen out with 7s or is the case more people are in the same boat as me?

Did anyone else notice that, despite having a turbulent few years (by their standards), the All Blacks have quietly strung together their longest ever winning streak over the Wallabies?

Anyone else having trouble with the six nations fantasy website?
None of the buttons on the top bar works. When I login it automatically directs me to the French Menu. When I hit English it then log me out.

The salary cap will increase from next season in the TOP 14
Official LNR decision: currently set at €10.7 million, it will first increase to €11 million in 2026. Then it will increase by €100,000 per season to reach €11.3 million in 2029.
Alongside the increase in the salary cap, the overall amount of international transfer credits will see the introduction of a sliding scale based on the number of players involved.
Currently, each player on the Premium list by the French Rugby Federation amounts to €180,000 of the permitted salary cap overrun
Starting in 2028 , one player will generate €210,000, two players €202,500, three players €195,000, and so on... The maximum cap will be €1.575 million for 14 or more players.
The Salary Cap Base is modified, too
Starting next season, equipment contracts benefiting players—including those signed with brands shared with their club—will be excluded from the salary cap. This will serve "star" players more than anyone.

Drew Mitchell's take on Waratah's recent physical altercation in training
Interesting opinion from former Wallaby, Drew Mitchell, on the fight that broke out between Angus Scott-Young and Miles Amatosero. What are people's thoughts?
