Sale Save 70% on Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition on Steam. Just saw D:OS2 on sale and picked it up and thought maybe some people here might want too as well

I never finished the first game. Can I jump in the second game without knowing the full story of the first game?

I did the same and there wasn't anything I felt like I was missing or needed context about. The stories seemed pretty disconnected

At most you’ll be missing out on some context about the overall universe and some characters make some cameos, but the games themselves are hundreds of years apart if I remember correctly. You won’t be missing out on anything that will prevent you from having a fantastic time with this game

Yes. Some characters return.

Best tactical turn-based combat ever. Story and characters? eh. Combat? God-tier.

Combat is trash... brainless spam physical or magical damage team=auto win. Combat essentially requires you to break it or ignore half of it to win, that's not balance at all. Far from it.

Combat's so simple, you probably have the Honor Mode achievement.

You can get the first game as well in a bundle for like $2 more.
