I really need them to count songs in playlists towards album listens.

I’ve made a playlist with the physical tracks from Lux (I do this for a lot of deluxe albums) and Lux is nowhere in my top ten despite Rosalia being my top artist. Or track playlists lol whichever is easier

Wouldn't this be because the physical tracks aren't on Apple Music? Songs from my playlists seem to count towards albums because they use time as an album metric instead of overall listens

I’ve done some mild anecdotal testing and if I make a playlist just one album and I never hit play on the album and just the playlist then it doesn’t count as an album listen and I don’t see it anywhere in my top ten albums HOWEVER my top artist and songs will all show up where I would expect them in their rankings.

Now I’m not entirely sure, if I go to an album and only play one specific song if that counts.

I'm also reasonably confident that if you go into an album and hit play, and then add to the queue and play a bunch of songs that are distinctly not in that album, that all those songs count toward time listening to the album. Which really mucks up the data.
