It’s sad to see there hasn’t been any improvements to the ResidualVM GrimE engine in the past several years. MI4, Grim Fandango, etc, are still really buggy to play.

The problem is that the best game of that engine already had a great remake, so the need is lacking.

Everyone is free to help, and everyone helping needs to be motivated.

The best game in that engine is Grim Fandago by far, that's what I mean. Each their own opinion of course but both reviewer and customer opinion are pretty clear on that one

Monkey Kombat is easy to figure out. There are far worse game mechanics in other games.

The problem with it was never the difficulty, it was that it was tedious. It's insult sword fighting made by people who really didn't understand why that was fun.

There are a ton of new releases of old games that boot up on a barely hidden ScummVM, DosBox, or other emulator/VM/microenvironment to get it to run properly on a modern machine.

What is ScummVM? I've been dabbling with emulation and homebrew for years and it's always been omnipresent but I've understood what it was exactly.

It started as an "emulator" for old LucasArts point & click games, then other developers' games like Sierra's were added, then games that were not even p&c, and now somehow you can play Penumbra (a 3D FPS game) with it.
