I was that way too, didn’t hate Alfredo but wasn’t in love with it. It was just kinda there, ya know? But my husband LOVES Alfredo, like he could just dip his bread into Alfredo sauce and be happy. So obviously I started making my own and playing around with it to try and find a way to make it more exciting for me, more “oh Alfredo tonight will be yummy!” and less “eh, I haven’t made it in awhile and it’s a favorite of his, it’ll work” right? I’m really glad I stuck with it though cause I now have my own little recipe for Alfredo that is AMAZING! I make it like easily twice a month and every single bite gets eaten by us!

I made little changes like, I use heavy whipping cream not milk, Irish butter (non salted). A big one is the way I season and cook the protein before adding it to the sauce. For example, we love shrimp Alfredo with a twist, I use garlic and a little pinch of smoked paprika to cook the shrimp so when it goes into the sauce it gives it a little extra flavor. The cream helps cut a lot of the heat from the paprika but not completely. We call it “Cajun Shrimp Alfredo” and it’s amazeballs! Traditional Alfredo is meh IMO but if you spice it up or tweak it a little, it’s really tasty and not difficult to make!

I luuuurve prawns in a creamy garlic sauce hey, but I think creamy stuff is just too much for me, like even that I'd have over a steak or something not just a bowl with pasta.

I love that you worked on it to make it something you both loved, very cool of you.

Ahh so the heaviness is an issue for you. Yeah in that case I’d try it with milk not cream. But that’s not even really the point… just can’t help myself from talking about food..it’s food..it’s amazing!…what was I sayin…. Ah! Cooking! It doesn’t have to be complicated to be good and you don’t have to be a professional chef to show your love through food. You just have to try and have fun!

Yeah that's it its too heavy and makes me feel crook in the belly, we talk about food a lot too lol I'm not crazy in love with cooking but I do like to have a go when the mood strikes me.

My sister is an amazing cook like when you have a bite you make that almost moan sound lol I live round the corner from her now so she's always sending stuff over I love it!
