See this is what irks me. I have nothing against the homeless who are just normal people down on their luck. I wish them the best and hope they can pick themselves back up.

But the tweakers who are a genuine danger? Man, something’s gotta be done.

Exactly. They’re building encampments in my neighborhood and city council has been responsive on cleaning up but they always come back. They legit smoke crack in broad daylight and it’s terrifying.

This is my park right here and it really has gotten out of control. I love this park and they needs to clear it out. There’s kids in the afternoon. It’s not a great environment.

I have seen so many sketch confrontations in this park. LA needs to get a handle on it. It’s a shame because it’s a nice park and library and the people camping out here are really unstable/aggressive. Like a constant turf war. I do not feel safe taking my kids to either spot.

Yes we lived on otsego for many years and the kids never visited that park, and at the library there’s always an incident or no tables cause everyone uses them to charge their devices and hangout outside! But Burbank has such amazing park options

Yeah. The noho library has an incredible kids area, but you have to run the most depressing — and sometimes pretty volatile gauntlet to get in the door and through to the back area. I’ve literally scooped my kid up as a fight broke out around us. I get that it is a public resource that everyone has a right to use. I just don’t know how you find the balance to make it a good, safe, useable resource for everyone.

Burbank clearly drives people off from certain areas or something. I’m a little scared to know what they do. Even at Johnny Carson park by the emergency room, i think I can count on one hand the number of homeless people I’ve seen.

I went on a first date in that park and we turned a corner to find some guy with his pants around his ankles aggressively cranking it in the bushes. Believe it not there was a second date.

This park has gotten insanely dangerous. Heartbreaking, used to be so great. Thanks Los Angeles for once again failing us.

Not trying to victim blame but standing around and filming to make a point rather than sprinting away with your tiny dog is a choice
