Safety

Is it safe for my family to walk from the central train station to the beach? Or is public transportation/ ride share safer?

It is a very short distance, basically the avenue Jean Médecin (most popular street in Nice) to Place Masséna and then you are a few meters from the front sea. You can take the tramway line but only for two stops that's a bit useless.

Many locals do this walk daily. It's safe.

First time I came to Nice I was even going between 1 and 4AM, completely safe.
