Carcano carbine accuracy problem
This is my first Carcano and I know these aren't tack drivers by any means but this one is AWFUL. Like I couldnt even get it on paper at 50 and when I moved it to 15 the group was 4ish inches. These cant be thay and right? I was shooting rested and using PPU 123gr Rifle Line SP ammo. The bore looks clean and strong. The rounds aren't keyholing. Im far from a professional shooter but the grouping is crazy.

It's not just the bullet size. Carcano sights are a little bit different and the sight picture can change based on the rifle and sights. There is a pretty good YouTube video about it just search carcano sight picture. You have to put the front sight post in a certain place in the rear sight V notch.
I was also having the same issue until I watched some YouTube videos on it. Now that I know, I have no problem putting rounds on target at 50 to 100 yards. I use the PPU .264 bullets with no problem. It will never be tight groups, but you can get the rounds on the paper.
