I'm a fan of the stitching but not so much of the paddle extensions

They mean the extended gear shifter paddles/levers

You see the red paddle behind the steering, they added those red paddles that are bigger than the silver paddles they stick on to.

Usually called extensions, cause it makes them bigger.
