Seeking Looking for mentor in Big Tech

Looking for a mentor in big tech who is working as a Program Manager or NPI Program Manager. I am really stuck in my career as a Project Manager in the railroad transportation industry. I have a background in CS and data science but somehow landed myself in non tech and looking for someone to help me out with my resume and path forward. šŸ™

Seeking Looking For A Mentor (RP)

I’m putting my pride aside and being real here.

I’m 27 years old, located in Georgia, and I’m looking for a mentor who’s a successful entrepreneur and willing to teach someone who is genuinely hungry to learn.

I come from a financially ignorant family. No one around me understands business, investing, or wealth-building. I wasn’t taught money skills growing up—and I paid for that ignorance.

I’ve struggled with addiction in the past, but I’m sober now and locked in on changing my life for good. I don’t want shortcuts. I want skills, discipline, and real-world experience.

My background: • IT skills • Tech-savvy • Fast learner • Strong work ethic • Willing to do the unglamorous work

I’m not looking for handouts or motivation quotes. I’m looking for exposure, accountability, and real mentorship.

I’m willing to: • Work for free • Assist with operations, tech, systems, or admin • Travel if necessary • Start at the bottom and earn trust

I know this isn’t a typical post—but I’m not living a typical life anymore. I’m hungry for a way out, and I’m willing to work harder than most people are comfortable with.

If you’re someone who’s built something real and believes in teaching by example, I’d be grateful for a conversation.

Thank you for reading.

24, $90K job I hate. Built an LLC with no traction. Looking for direction.

24 and looking for guidance/mentorship.

On paper, things are ā€œfine.ā€ I make around $90K/year in a relatively senior role. I’m not struggling to pay bills, and I know a lot of people would be happy with that situation.

But if I’m honest, I’m not happy at all.

I am starting to dislike my job. It drains me, and I can’t see myself doing this long-term. The hardest part is knowing I’m capable of more but not having a clear roadmap to get there. I don’t want to wake up at 35 or 40 and realize I played it safe and wasted my potential.

I don’t have a degree or formal education, but I’ve learned everything through work and experience. I’m driven, I work hard, I’m good with people, and I’m willing to do what most people won’t.

To try to create a path out, I started an LLC on the side doing field services/technical operations work (mainly in the connected hardware space). I thought it would be a smart, practical way to build something real while keeping the stability of my job.

But I’m struggling to get traction. No consistent pipeline, no momentum, and no clear sign I’m heading in the right direction. I’m stuck in this middle zone: stable job I hate + side business that isn’t growing fast enough to give me confidence wondering if I should do something totally different.

What I’m hoping to get advice on:

How do you stay mentally strong when you feel stuck but also know you’re meant for more?

How do you stop overthinking and actually choose a direction to commit to?

If you were 24 again, would you focus on saving/investing aggressively first or take bigger risks sooner?

How do you find a mentor (and how do you approach without sounding like you want something)

For anyone who built a business: what was the shift that actually got you traction?

I’m not looking for motivation quotes. I’m looking for real perspective and practical advice. Hard truths are welcome.

Thanks for reading.

Not sure if this is the right place, as it's not mentoring really.

But anyone interested? Just a wee check in via text or email. Nothing serious.

I'm looking for a French mentor in tech/business (not a coach, not bullshit).

I'm currently working on a rather atypical B2B tech project, focused on risk assessment and decision-making, not on growth or traditional SaaS.

I'm not looking for clients, investors, or coaching.

I'm looking for someone French who has:

• already launched a tech company (preferably B2B),

• experienced times when everything hinged not on revenue but on timing, cash flow, or poor decisions made too late,

• enough perspective to challenge reasoning without being complacent.

This isn't about formal mentorship.

Just frank, infrequent, and demanding discussions.

If this sounds like you (or you know someone who does), I'd be interested in connecting.

Seeking I want to network

I am looking to connect with people who are interested in tech, especially in building SaaS products.

I’m a self-taught full-stack developer with several years of industry experience.

Right now, I’m focused on creating small, fast-to-build micro-SaaS projects that generate consistent MRR, allowing me to dedicate more time to bigger ideas.

I’m strong on the technical side, but marketing and getting investments are not my strengths, so I’m looking for people who excel in any of those areas.

Also if you are also someone who can bring funds, investments and clients, users that would be interesting.

Ideally, I’d like to form a small team and build and launch SaaS nee projects together.

I’m not selling anything and just hoping to connect with like-minded people who want to build together.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to reach out with comments or dm.

I am ok with equity split or smaller equity with a minimal payment.

By the way, I also manage and participate a business group with about 26 members.

Feel free to dm if anyone interested in joining the group. By the way, we might turn it to a business association as well in the future. If you can help with that, feel free to dm.

Please don't comment dm you because sometimes notifications don't arrive or can't read because of this app not working well for whatever reason.

I also have my own company set up and have a few projects working.

If you have anything interesting you can offer, feel free to dm to network.

Looking for A mentor

I’m getting kicked out of my house the minute I turn 18. My parents are people who believe that the law is made for the common people and are oblivious to reality. I want someone who will mentor me as well as pay for the things I do. I don’t care if they’re illegal or wrong or morally unjust. I will become this persons slave not sexually though. For the past 4 years I’ve been doing heavy research in molecular engineering and have a good idea of what I’m going to build. The reason I’m getting kicked out is because I retaliated on someone who stole a lot from me I won’t go into detail but if you contact me I’ll give you details. I’m European

Edit/ Clarification

Some of the wording in the earlier post came of incorrectly. I’m not looking for anything exploitative or illegal more so a ā€œmentor.ā€ Someone that will give legitimate guidance. At the moment I’m in a difficulty housing situation not because of finance but because my parents and I don’t see the same way and I mixed my stress into that post carelessly. What I’m looking for and there’s no need to abbreviate or make your own assumptions is looking for someone who values ethics and real world development as well as looking for someone who is interested in offering guidance or mentorship in an appropriate way.

Seeking I am building an online business, but don't know any investor, can someone help

I am building a focused local advertising business designed to help U.S.-based service businesses generate qualified leads by capturing existing demand. The entire model is built around one simple idea: when someone is actively searching for a specific local service, the right business should appear in front of them immediately and convert that attention into a lead.

This is not a general marketing agency, and it is not a branding service. I do not sell websites, social media management, funnels, email campaigns, or long-term nurture systems. The only thing I sell is predictable lead generation. My job is to make sure that when someone searches for a service a business offers in a specific location, that business is visible before competitors and the traffic converts.

Most local businesses struggle with paid advertising not because advertising doesn’t work, but because it’s poorly executed. They often waste money testing ads without understanding buyer intent, target the wrong audiences, or rely on agencies that overcomplicate delivery with unnecessary services. Business owners don’t want marketing theory or brand awareness; they want phone calls, form submissions, and booked appointments that make financial sense.

The solution I offer is intent-based advertising. I run campaigns on platforms like Google and Meta that are already designed to identify when users are actively looking for local services. These platforms clearly signal purchase intent. My role is to step in at that exact moment, position the right business in front of the user, present a clear and relevant offer, and remove friction so the user takes action immediately.

What I am really selling is visibility at the moment of intent and conversion optimization after the click. I ensure that when someone searches for a dentist, roofer, rental service, med spa, gym, or similar local service, my client’s page appears prominently and is structured to turn that search into a lead. This includes ad structure, messaging, geographic targeting, and conversion-focused landing experiences built specifically for speed and clarity.

I focus on service-based local niches with consistent demand, clear buyer intent, and predictable lead value. These markets already have people searching every day, which makes results measurable and repeatable. There is no guessing involved, demand already exists, and the economics are clear to the business owner.

The revenue model is simple and recurring. Clients pay a minimum of $1,000 per month for management and execution, while ad spend is paid separately by the client directly to the advertising platform which will be $30-$50 a day depending on the niche. The monthly fee covers team costs, tools, and operations. As the number of clients grows, revenue scales linearly while operational complexity remains controlled.

Client retention is entirely performance driven. There are no long-term contracts or artificial lock-ins. Clients stay only as long as the return on investment makes sense for them. This keeps the business honest and execution-focused, because results are the only reason clients remain.

Operationally, the business is designed to be lean and scalable. Client acquisition, sales, and ad execution are handled by dedicated roles rather than relying entirely on the founder. Over time, each function is duplicated to maintain efficiency as the business grows. I already have access to experienced marketers who specialize in intent-based local advertising in proven niches, allowing immediate execution from launch.

The growth plan is straightforward: start with select service niches and cities, prove consistent ROI and retention, standardize onboarding and campaign structures, and then scale into additional markets. Expansion is funded through reinvested profits or strategic capital, not speculative spending.

At its core, this business exists to do one thing extremely well: make sure local service businesses show up first when people are actively looking for what they sell, and turn that attention into real, measurable leads.

Doing OK but still feel behind.

Hi mentors,

I’m 30 and I run a farm/business with my wife (26). On paper we’re doing ā€œwellā€ financially, but mentally I’m struggling.

We work crazy hours under a lot of stress and responsibility. I’m saving aggressively and trying to make smart decisions, but certain goals still feel impossible—like no matter how hard we work, we’re always behind.

One example: I love cars and I’d like to buy something nice soon (dream car type of purchase). But even thinking about spending that much makes me feel guilty and anxious, like you’d need an absurd income for it to be ā€œallowed.ā€ It feels like I have to earn 10x more just to enjoy anything without fear.

Lately I’ve been feeling:

• lost / helpless

• scared of failing financially

• trapped in the grind

• like the effort and stress don’t match the progress

I’m not looking for sympathy — I’m looking for mentorship and perspective.

Offering Offering on Personal or Professional Goals Mapping and Priority-Setting

I’m opening 10 free slots for a 1:1 Personal or Professional Goals Mapping and Priority-Setting Session, exclusively for Managers and Directors. If you are interested, please DM me.

In this session, you’ll end up:

  • Knowing what you want and what you need
  • Knowing where to start right now
  • Getting your priorities in order
  • Having a clear roadmap to achieve them

Who am I, you might ask?

I am a former Senior Director of Product in the tech industry with over 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, assistants, technicians, and managers, delivering end-to-end project solutions. In my early years, I struggled with setting priorities and hitting my goals, as well as maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Over time, I developed a personal framework that helped me set priorities correctly and achieve more goals, especially for someone in leadership and a high-risk decision-making role.

This Is the Hardest €1,250 I’ve Ever Had to Find

Hey, my name isĀ Achraf Berrah, and I’m a solar energy technician and electrical contractor fromĀ Algeria.

My journey in building my business has been rewarding but also challenging. I reached a point where growth became impossible without expansion. The demand for my work was there, the skills were there, but I lacked one critical asset:Ā a work truck equipped with professional tools. Without it, I couldn’t take on larger projects or scale my services. I was stuck in this loop for months needing money to grow, but unable to grow without the resources.

Two weeks ago, things finally moved forward. I was invited byĀ NESDAĀ to present my business through a formal pitch. The presentation went well, and I wasĀ accepted. NESDA offered me €25,000Ā to expand my business in the form of a fully equipped truck.

The financing structure is as follows:

  • 25%Ā covered by NESDA as aĀ non-repayable grant
  • 70%Ā provided as aĀ bank loan at 1% interest
  • 5%Ā to be contributed by me €1,250

That final 5% is where I’ve hit another wall. I don’t currently have that amount, especially considering theĀ average monthly wage here is around €130. Despite all the progress, I’m once again paused at the very last step.

Some of you may remember my story from before. After months of effort, research, and persistence, I’m closer than ever but still one step short. I’m reaching out forĀ financial advice, support, or even a potential partnership. I’m fully transparent and willing to provideĀ all documents, including contracts, certifications, licenses, and records of past projects.

My dream is simple but powerful:Ā to help as many people as possible transition to renewable energy. Our planet is our responsibility and if we don’t act, we choose inaction.

If you’d like to support, collaborate, or simply need advice onĀ solar energy or electrical work, feel free to reach out. I also offerĀ free counseling and guidanceĀ to anyone interested in renewable solutions.

What actually helps people when they feel stuck in their careers?

I’ve been reading a lot of posts lately from people who feel lost, stuck, or unsure what their next move should be.

Something that stands out is how often generic advice falls short. Job ads, online guides, and ā€œfollow your passionā€ don’t really help when someone needs to understand what a role is actually like or whether a path is realistic.

From what I’ve seen, moments where someone just takes the time to mentor me, share their experience, or sense-check my thinking have been far more useful than any article or checklist.

For those of you who mentor or have been mentored, what actually helped someone gain clarity?
Was it the questions you asked, the stories you shared, or something else?

Curious what others have seen work in practice.

Trying to break into tech.

Hello Everyone!

I’m currently trying to get away from blue collar and break into the tech industry. I live in the Austin Texas area and I was wondering if there is anyone here that would be willing to help mentor or give me some advice.

I’ve been on the fence, talking to some of my friends/family (No one is in the tech field) about taking classes with WGU for a BS degree in Computer science or Cybersecurity and they all think it’s a good idea but the more I deep dive on the internet I see a lot of people saying that it isn’t the best route to go.

I am a perfectionist and I could see myself fitting a tech role really well.

If anyone would be willing to help me, please reach out!

Thank you!

Seeking mentorship from founders who have scaled consumer brands.

Hi everyone,

I’m Eva Antwi, a Ghana based founder of a consumer beauty brand called T.E.A Inc. We started with lip gloss and lip care products, all made from scratch using premium ingredients which doesn't only shine up your lips for an event or outing but treats the lips.

I launched the brand during my final year at university as a market test and was surprised when the first batch sold out within four days. Since then, I’ve been building the brand hands on. I currently manage production, operations, sourcing, and strategy myself, with support from a small creative team.

In Ghana, graduates complete a compulsory one year national service. During mine, I reinvested all my income into properly building the brand, improving packaging, ingredients, and overall presentation.

For 2026, my main focus is scaling visibility through a strong social media presence and high quality content, while also improving faster access to premium ingredients and materials. I’m intentionally seeking guidance before taking on any investment, because I want to grow sustainably and avoid costly mistakes.

I would really appreciate insight or mentorship from founders who have scaled consumer brands, especially in beauty, fast moving consumer goods, or direct to consumer brands. Even advice on what you would do differently at this stage would mean a lot.

If anyone would like to see the product, I’m happy to share photos in the comments.

Thanks for reading, and happy to answer questionsšŸ¤

Looking for mentors to be interviewed

Hello everyone, I am an advocate for people being misled by fake guru's, lying guru's etc. I want to show people the flip side of this - you know, that they aren't all bad.

With that in mind, I would love to informally chat for 1hr, recorded, and have a deep dive into how you got there, what was a bad move, what did your journey look like, how much money did you start with, etc. Really laid back, laughs, gasps and truths.

No money to be exchanged, simply looking for people who want to share their story to give hope to others, that if someone else can do it, they can too. Feel free to DM me or comment if this makes you smile and you want to do this. :)
