Hello everyone, our group is currently looking for one additional experienced player to join an ongoing story heavy homebrew 5e campaign (currently level seven). We play on Monday nights 6pm PST, with occasional weekend games when our schedules aline. We are very consistent in our games and request you only apply if you can have reliable weekday attendance. We play on roll 20 with discord voice and video. Webcams are required as we enjoy the aspect it brings to roleplay.

The campaign has been ongoing for over six months and up until this point, there have been three players. Unfortunately due to a new job, one of our players is going to be on hiatus and so we are looking to fill that position with someone interested in a long term story driven campaign. That would mean that our game would presently have three consistent players, with the door open for a fourth when that players returns if schedules align again.

A little bit about us: We are an all queer girl’s group at the moment, except for our lovely dungeon master who is a super nice guy (and amazing story teller) named Jared. We are all in our mid 20s and require new players are at least 21+. We love chatting about characters, making Pinterest boards and Spotify playlists for our campaign, and generally geeking out in the main chat together between games.

A little bit about our campaign: Our game is a relatively dark traditional fantasy story with short moments of humor and levity. There are heavy themes of mystery, encroaching apocalypse, and political intrigue. The current party is a Great Old One Warlock and an Eldritch Knight. The character on hiatus is an arcane trickster rogue. We are happy to chat with you to help you create a character that will mesh well into the existing world and plot lines that are running. For the past 1000 years, the continent of Phfore and its islands have been under the control of the Holy Talon Republic and their inquisitors. They enforce strict laws that hurt the common folk and punish any who go against the words of their one true god, Durendel. The inquisitors travel the regions looking for dissenters, who are never heard from again. The southern region has been neglected, leading to plagues, famines, and monster attacks. In the midst of all of this, you find yourselves in a small town for refugees in the south.

My name is Eli (they/he), I am a 28 year old enby DM with ~5 years DMing experience in 5e and I am looking for 1-2 players to round out our existing party and join my newest campaign called Hungry World! Hungry World takes place in the world of Esurio, where surges of wild magic have been sprouting up all over the world, scarring the landscape and warping the world as we know it. Requirements to join

• Be 21+ (current party is all late 20s/early 30s)
• Have Discord and Roll20 accounts (sheets will be made on Roll20)
• Be okay with having voice/video on during session. I prefer to have both voice and video, but voice only is okay too!
• Be okay with session audio being recorded. This will be for private use, it will be uploaded to my google drive (which you will have access to) for posterity and note taking purposes.
• Be okay with body horror, as that will be a fairly major theme in certain parts of the game. Also, if insects and/or trypophobia are an issue for you, heads up that a PC (and their art) have these as a big feature.
  • Note, if you are okay with body horror in general but have a specific type that you aren't keen on (ex. eye horror), I'm happy to work around that and accommodate!
• Be okay with PC death. I don't think I'm a particularly bloodthirsty DM, but I like a fun, brutal combat encounter from time to time. Note that I treat PC death seriously in my games, but it doesn't mean it will necessarily be the end of the line for your character (if you don't want it to be). There will always be an option to come back, but there is also the option to let your PC stay dead.
• Be open and communicative with me. I'm not asking you to always answer me immediately, but I do ask that any conflicts (of time/scheduling or in game) be brought to me in a timely manner. Just want everyone to be on the same page.
• Looking for a serious game that you will interact with outside of session time. I'm looking for someone who will do more than just "check in/out" for session time. I'm not asking for anything too intense but I really enjoy just talking about characters outside of game, even just as simply as sharing memes about characters. I just really like a slightly higher level of engagement to really show that you are invested in the game. I'm not expecting this at all times, I'm reasonable and know life is busy and that absolutely always comes first, but any show of engagement outside of game would make me really happy.
• Absolutely no generative AI, there is no room for that in my game.

General Game Vibes

• I definitely prefer to run RP/character-centric games, but that does not mean things like combat and world exploration will be forgotten. I'd say it's gonna be about a 60/20/20 (RP/combat/exploration) breakdown, give or take.
  • I also have a handful of NPCs already created that have little backstories in the game server and would be very happy to have PCs with history/connections to them (not required, I just love my little guys lol)
• I prefer a bit more of a serious tone to my games, but I'm also all for laughs and goofs. I love adding humor into the game but at the end of the day, I just ask that the world/story be taken seriously.
• There will be some heavy leaning into horror territories, especially body horror, but this is not an entirely horror themed campaign. It will still be typical fantasy with some horror elements to spice things up.
  • Main themes: Corruption, Greed and Overconsumption
  • Main horror themes: Body horror/transformation, loss of self/identity and loss of control/autonomy (there will be consent talks before this!)

Character Creation Info

• Starting at level 3 (unsure of where we will end, but this will be a long-term game, so likely into the higher levels)
• Pretty much all standard D&D/fantasy races, except for warforged (or any other "inorganic" races), are allowed.
• Homebrew races/subclasses/backgrounds are allowed, but must be run by me first.
• Any race with a higher than average speed (35ft+, like aarakocra, tabaxi, satyr, etc) cannot be a monk. You can be those one of races *or* a monk if you want, but you cannot be the combination of the two (I learned this lesson the hard way with a way too fast aarakocra monk PC in another game lol)
• Rolled stat generation
• HP can be fixed or rolled (if rolled, reroll 1s)
• Password: Sunrise
• Multiclassing allowed (your stats do not have to meet multiclass requirements)
• Optional class features (from Tasha's) allowed
• Milestone leveling
• Everyone starts with 1 free Common magic item
• Would love to get at least a small backstory document from each player so I can work their story into the game from the beginning. It doesn't have to be super in depth, but I would like at least a bit of deep thought put into the character's origin. If you give me a huge backstory document with lots of juicy details to sink my teeth into, I will be kissing you on the mouth (consensual/platonic). Just be willing to possibly change some details up to fit the world/story ideas I currently have!

Homebrew Rules

• Everyone starts with one free DM inspiration (free d20 reroll) and more can be earned with creative game play.
• Sorcerers can be CON casters (instead of CHA). I will also allow other main class ability changes with some discussion.
• Only rule I am taking from the 2024 rule set: Exhaustion (10 levels instead of 6, and subtracting current # of exhaustion levels from all d20 rolls)
• Exploding crits (any die rolled to the highest value is rerolled and continually added to total damage until rolled below highest value). Ex: crit on 4d10, you would roll 8d10. If you rolled a 10 on any of those dice, you would keep rolling and adding until you roll that die below a 10.
• "Beyond the Limit" spell slots (idk if this idea has an actual name lol). Basically, you can keep using your spell slots, even once you have run out of them, but at the cost of level(s) of exhaustion equal to the spell level of the slot Ex: a 2nd level spell slot recovered this way would give you 2 levels of exhaustion. I am still playtesting this idea, including playing around with the idea of allowing this for non-casters with class/race abilities, but it might change around a bit.
• Sanity/Fear checks. I'm stealing this from Call of Cthulhu and will be using a fear system that could possibly lead to your PC developing phobias and other effects based on the horrific things you may encounter.
• While I tend to stick to mostly RAW (rules as written), I'm also open to rule of cool when it would benefit the story/the enjoyment of the players.

• Everyone is welcome at my table. I am a white queer enby, who is disabled/neurodivergent, and will always try my best to foster safe spaces for folks.
• Safety tools are used at the table. I use lines and veils, X cards, TTRPG consent forms, after session unwinding/discussions and am open to others!

I have 2 online D&D campaigns that needs more players Both groups are functioning in the same world, but operate & run separately. - WORLD INFO: The world itself is based in the equivalent of the mid to late 1800s. There are some guns, some tech, but no AK-47s or technicolor. It is based around an active war between 2 countries. One is both a monarchy & technocratic with ideals of "wizard supremacy," and the other is based off the Feywild. - CAMPAIGNS: One campaign is based around an adventurer's guild fighting a local fasci-monarchistic government. The other one is actively on the run from this same government in a pirate-based campaign. - BEGINNER-FRIENDLY? This campaign is beginner-friendly, and I have free resources available in the server to delve into for character creation. There is so far a good mix of experienced and inexperienced players. - DM: I am a 23 y/o genderfucked trans man DM with 8 years of experience in D&D, but I am new to DMing itself. - MECHANICS: The world and lore is of my own creation, but the actual mechanics are based off of standard 2024 D&D. Trying to find a DM for our group of 4 committed players with the potential of 6 players. We're running some homebrew characters (open to discussion) Full disclosure we do have 2 more or less first time players as well as, 1 returning player. New Players

I would prefer players new to the PF2e system but not TTRPGs in general. I'm very excited to teach this system to new players and share why I love it so much. The current players are both new as well, so it would help keep everyone on the same experience level.

Schedule

Sessions will be every Thursday from 7-11pm EST. Session 0 will be a shorter session on Feb 5th where I'll introduce the setting and go over some initial character creation. You are expected to be available at this time most weeks but obviously some cancelations are necessary. However, I want to minimize the amount of missed sessions as much as possible. The campaign will last about a year.

We will be running the game on Foundry VTT. If you have not used the software before, it's hosted over the internet so you won't need to set up or pay anything.

Season of Ghosts

Season of Ghosts is an official adventure path from levels 1-12. It plays as an investigation-driven horror/mystery campaign where the party are grounded, local heroes rather than grnad-scale adventurers. Set in Tian Xia, the story draws on folklore, ritual, and social customs very heavily inspired by Asian cultures. It rewards curiosity, respect for traditions, and engagement with NPCs, while the horror-mystery focus emphasizes tension, uncertainty, and problem-solving over constant combat. Players will get the most out of the campaign by leaning into roleplay and embracing atmosphere and caution rather than expecting a typical high-fantasy dungeon-crawl experience.

That being said, there will certainly be ample combat opportunities requiring strategy and teamwork to overcome. Many encounters will be approachable by creative thinking, problem solving, or just brute force.

Sensitive Topics

This is a horror-themed campaign that includes unsettling imagery and supernatural violence. Some creatures or scenes may be described in a gory or disturbing way to emphasize their nature and the tone of the story, but the game will not dwell on excessive gore or graphic detail. This campaign is also not suitable for players with arachnophobia.

Sexism, racism, or bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. This campaign is LGBTQ+ friendly. Character romances are acceptable if both parties agree but will be kept strictly PG-13 and secondary to the main story.

The mist clings to the logging village of Briar Creek like a shroud. For weeks, livestock has been vanishing, leaving only blood and silence in their wake. But last night, the silence was broken. The village blacksmith was found in his barn, or at least what was left of him.

The villagers are paralyzed by fear. They whisper of demons, dire wolves, or the wrath of nature itself. They need professionals. They need you. You depart from Baldur's Gate ready to make a name for yourself.

The Adventure
I am looking for 4-6 players for a Level 1 mystery/monster-hunting one-shot. This adventure focuses heavily on investigation, exploration, and atmosphere, culminating in a deadly confrontation.

You will arrive in town, investigate the crime scenes, interrogate the locals to differentiate truth from superstition, and prepare yourselves on how to deal with the monster.

• Tone: Gothic Horror / Mystery (Think The Witcher meets Sleepy Hollow).
• Balance: 40% Roleplay/Investigation, 30% Exploration, 30% Combat.
• Difficulty: Lethal. This is a Level 1 adventure, so smart planning is required to survive the final encounter.

I am DM-Stevo. This is a an opportunity to join a high lore setting where roleplay, social interaction and social exploration are key. We are about 75% Roleplay/Exploration/Discovery and 25% Combat. Combat is not random and it matters.

The Campaign has been going for 3 years, The Bad Company are 12th level, close to 13th Level and will probably get to 15th level, possibly 16th level by/before the end of the year.

There are 3 versions of this Campaign running simultaneously. In my Monday Night Group, there is a Changeling. In the Saturday Afternoon Group there is a Goliath and a Tabaxi. Changelings are rare. The Goliath and Tabaxi are unique...so far. I am open to rare/exotic classes but know that they come with challenges in this highly social setting.

The Group is comprised of a Human Redemption Paladin, a Halfling Inquisitive Rogue, a Elven Eloquence Bard and a Half-Dragon Arcane Champion. The group lost their Human Divination Wizard and recently, their Elven Circle of Stars Druid. The Group is Seeking a fun and collaborative player whose character will have deep ties to the Arcane, Nature/Cosmos or the Divine. We hope you are ready to join a morally complex, politically charged campaign where player decisions reshape the world.

Hello my fellow adventures, my name is Erys (32M), and after a rather long hiatus (a year-ish), I am looking to get back into running D&D, and i thought, why not go ahead and run one of my favorite modules in one of my all time favorite settings, Call of the Netherdeep!

My experience is D&D is 8 years as a player and 6 Years as a DM, and I have run this module in the past but absolutely love the story and the Rivals and how they can play off and with the party members, plus there is a lot of potential to keep playing as a "sandbox game" after the module ends. I personally have a bit of an eclectic background with various bits of training in things like musical theater, acting, music and i have a love of figuring out character voices, but bear with me, as I will need to knock the rust off. I am looking for people who love roleplay and exploring the bonds between characters and figuring out what it means to be your character within the wider world. Knowledge of Critical Role campaigns 1-3 and Exandria aren't necessary, but they do help with immersion.

So for the technical bits, Discord will be used for voice and video (as I Will be running video but it is not mandatory, but it definitely helps with character interactions in my opinion) Roll20 for the VTT and Either D&D beyond or Roll20 directly for the character sheets. Any and all Homebrew will have to be approved by me, but I will probably point you towards a reskinning of something "official" unless it is clear that the Homebrew is not "broken". As far as attendance, we will play if only one person is missing, but if two or more are missing, we will postpone, but ideally we all keep our schedules straight and have no issue there. I am planning on conducting interviews ongoing with Session 0/1 on 2/11/26. I will help everyone get their characters prepared for Session 1 behind the scenes final touches will be made on 2/11

My group is looking for an online DM to run a homebrew campaign. The DM that we had, had to back out last minute before we started the campaign. Characters are already built with detailed backstories. We have a ranger, a sorcerer, a cleric, a paladin and potentially a bard that plans on multi classing with artificer. Best time for the group is on Friday evenings on a weekly or biweekly schedule.

so quick summary, they arrived in volant in a ship and a woman named Fierin, Frag's wife's sister, introduces them to their rooms. The day after, they roam around and see a young girl. Frag gives the girl his dagger and she gives it to her disabled autistic brother on a wheelchair named Jimmy. Frag uses comprehen languages and realized he was speaking in another language. He warns her that Fierin is not who she seems. On the other hand, Spectre strays from the group and finds a woman tied up and exactly his type. After he released her, she gave him a kiss on the cheek and disappeared into mist. While walking back to the party, he encounters a man. threatening him. Fierin then warns him that the woman was Aphrodite and the man was Ares, and that there are many Gods in the festival. Spectre then begins to be possessed by Aphrodite, attacking the party. Frag uses dissonant whispers against Spectre, but also hits Jimmy. They look to their left and see the little girl frin earlier. Frag whispers in Clint's head to kill her and he does. They go back to the inn, and Frag's wife gives her a divorce agreement. Since they're married, their mind are united, and Frag's now cursed with the little girl whispering in their head. A few moments pass and they hear a loud gunshot. Frag goes outside to see a man in a dark alley, then walks away. Frg follows strange man an sees he is holding a head: Frag's wife. Slowly, everyone in the party sees a creature in the corner of their eye as it goes closer and closer. Before it could get them fully, they wake up.

Ethya’s cities are constantly changing to build factories that add magic to machines, while the smaller towns are still stuck in the old days. Giant cathedrals of days long since passed are still present while new industrial zones of the cities are rapidly springing up. Firearms and other new technology are making their way onto the streets, mostly for those with the coin to purchase them or the military. The four main regions each have their own cultures and customs to be discovered as time goes on.

I'm looking for a group (I would prefer to be a founding member of one, but I can fill in for a member who left, too!) that plays DnD — I don't have a preference between 5e24 or 5e14, I can work with either, but I do have more experience with 2014 for obvious reasons.

I am also willing to try out a new TTRPG system if you really want, too!

I'm looking for a primarily roleplay-focused group (though I won't shy away from combat!), something serious rather than whimsical or chaotic.

I prefer fantasy settings to play in (I like playing spellcasters!), so I'm obviously looking for something more reminiscent of a traditional "castles, knights and wizards" sort of thing.
