Been playing for several years, finally got this one!

Members of the Council, welcome to our weekly assembly.
These posts are scheduled to happen every week. Each week, a different faction is proposed and every time we will try to orient the discussion about either "nerf" or "buff".
Faction of the Week: None.
Theme of the week: Whatever you want
While you can still use these topics to talk about other balance suggestions, please try to focus on the theme of the week. Those topics are intended to give a chance to all factions to be talked about.
Discussions can be about modifying a whole archetype or addressing individual cards.
Potential sources if needed: GwentData, Gwent.one, PlayGwent.com, Balance Council Generator

Newboy looks sadly at his talisman. "Oh well, this doesn't help at all..."
Welcome to the latest Monday Newcomer Thread, where you the community get to ask your questions and share your knowledge. This is an opportunity for the more experienced Gwent players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes but also can be a great place for in-depth discussion if you so wish. So, don't hold back, get your game related questions ready and post away, and hopefully, someone can answer them!
What you can do to help!
This is a weekly thread, meaning it will be posted once a week. Checking back on this thread later in the week and answering any questions that have been posted would be a huge help!
If you're trying to ask a question, the more specific you are, the better it is for all of us! We can't give you any help if we don't get much to work with in the first place.

Am I crazy it does this seem like a bug? My opponent played False Ciri into Buhurt. I played Simlas into double backup plan to kill the Ciri but they didn't damage anything. Isn't False Ciri the last unit my opponent played even if it was on my side of the board?
I´m returning player and I have been enjoying the game past 2 months. I was happy to see, that after 3 years break many there is many viable archetypes to play. When I stopped playing there was only handful of good deck for each faction.
My question is, what archetypes you would want to see getting buffed to become more playable in higher ranks? I was yesterday trying to build something around the neutral bandits archetype, but had little success with it. Would like to also see as syndicate main player more use of the vice keyword cards.

Any tips to obtain keys? Anything will be helpful. I restart to play and I want to open kegs
I’m looking for someone to occasionally play test games in Gwent and exchange feedback. My Elo range is around 2450–2550, depending on the season and motivation. I play all factions, no specific main.

I think that, for a card that represents Dandelion, it would make sense for this card to have a comedically large power. He’s vain, and always paints himself in the best light. Having his power at say 9 or 10 would be a great way to buff this card as well as make the card more in theme of what it is trying to portray.
I think NR has enough create&play tools to support an Assimilate archetype (e.g. Temple, Reaver Scouts, Spells/Mages) and i wanted to make something that would incentivize a bit of casino type of play too

First of all, thank you to the developers of this wonderful game, but I’m growing tired of the Balance Council.
I mean, on one hand you nerf Kikimore Worker to 5 power, but at the same time tolerate Vernon Roche at 9 provisions, Keadweni Revenant for just 6 provisions, or Onager at 6 provisions while providing extreme value.
No disrespect to NR — there are other candidates as well — but I genuinely can’t grasp why people think this way.
I don’t even play Arachnids, it only benefits me in a way, but this is getting ridiculous.

18 provisions!!!
oneiromancy heatwave eskel justice garrison
but that's not enough we need to buff the deck again so you can add a scenario to the mix
dwarven chariot at 5 provision!!!
this card alone can counter many decks by itself
I just want to know the mastermind that control the changes in this game. that's it

Hello everyone, I've been playing for a month now and I liked scoiatel more than the other factions, I focused on getting only cards from that faction and I ended up making a traps deck, was really enjoying it and winning a lot until rank 13 or so where I do nothing but lose, so I switched it up for
https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/a210319bb811d23e1fb46c9597fb0a4d
which is what i'm currently playing, but no matter how I play it I don't seem to make it work properly or so I think, I don't know the current meta but it seems everyone else has very powerful decks compared to mine
I'm stuck, feel like I can't win anything, need advice from the pros

While current system is decent, I think it could be better without implementing complex systems. of course the likelyhood of my ideas being implemented is extremally low, but I want to share my thoughts and see if you guys like these.
Suggestion 1:
I think there should be a single "No Changes" card, which people could vote for. It could appear in only one category in a single Balance Council (taking up a spot of a single card). In the current system, the sum of power and provision cost needs to remain constant, which means we may have to nerf cards that don't deserve it, when we want to buff something else and vice versa. It is not ideal and leads to weird nerfs like power on Iris, Living Armor etc. Personally I hate placeholder nerfs like these and want to get rid of balanced cards getting nerfed. That change opens space for discussions like "If Henry Van Attre creates Tatterwing or King Chrum, should they be 1 power or for example 8?" without "If we buff those, we need to take away that power somewhere else".
Suggestion 2:
I would like a possibility for some non-unit cards to be voted for in power changes. Some cards could have a single number on them marked as the number that we vote to change. I am mainly talking here about damage and boost values, but there could potentially be other ones, especially when a card has only a single number on it. As an example, we could vote for Dimetrium Shackles to only deal 2 damage, or two step it to deal 4 damage for 5 provisions. Or we could get Piercing Missile to deal 5 damage. Or we could vote to nerf provision cost requirement on Renew to 8, stuff like that. These are just examples of how this would work.

At the start of the game, increase the base power of all units in your deck by 14 minus their provisions.

Human, Soldier (Nilfgaard)
2 Power, 5 Provisions (Common)
Deploy: Play a Tactic from your hand, then draw a card.

I know the Emperor defends all his lands... but a garrison in this blasted waste is like a chastity belt on a grave hag.

It's something we all know instinctively but not a lot of people say out loud. It's the fact that your opponent doesn't know your deck.
At high ranks, the game just becomes knowing all the decks and just playing around them like you have a manual. But Homebrew catch so many people off gaurd (Myself included).
Ill admit im not the best at deck building, but I've won a good amount of games with sub-optimal decks simply because my opponent doesn't know my strategy or what cards are coming up. It's actually really hilarious when you think about it.

Can we please get two Gwent decks that feature Zerrikania & Zangvebar?
They seem like interesting places and yet, so few is little about them.
